I have gone to luxury nails a few times over the years and in the past I didn't have anything to complain about. In fact, back in November I had a good experience! The polish grew out but stayed incredible for over 3 weeks! I've never written a review to anywhere simply because I don't typically feel it's necessary unless I have an above and beyond experience or a terrible experience. Unfortunately, I just had a terrible experience and I feel like customers should be warned.
This month I went in to get my nails done and it was a terrible experience. The nail tech who did my nails was OK, he had an excuse for anything I asked him to correct but he addressed it- it was just annoying that he wasn't checking the quality of his work and I had to stay on top of it. The polish was applied SO incredibly thin and I probably could have said something but I figured he's supposed to be the professional... less than 18 hours later and my nails were already chipping. Less than a week later and my nails look terrible. It's the same as if I had done my nails at home with regular polish but I paid $35 for a gel manicure that didn't even last. Also, if you look at my photos you will see that the skin around my nails was not even taken care of like a true manicure- it was more like a buff and polish since my skin was barely addressed. I debated going back in to get my nails fixed but after reading some of these reviews I wondered if it would even be worth it and if they would actually fix it or if they would tell me it was too late since it was a day later. I'm incredibly disappointed especially since I had a great experience back in November. I would say, if you like your nails, get the tech's name and only go to that tech. I've for sure had better experiences at other salons in town.
I really like this place! Very clean and comfy atmosphere. It was done as requested, there was a minor bump in the road, but she quickly remedied. I give 3 star due to the execution and the finish. I will return and probably ask for a different tech. I pointed out i had extra material under my nails, she went to drill? (If thats the term for the tool) but i still had more material in my other fingers and i felt a little rushed out the door. She charged me $70.. $15 tip... i do not feel this was a $70 work, at least maybe $65 considering there was an issue... i got home and used one of my exacto knives to scrape the extra material out.
UPDATE: i was VERY upset how these nails turned out after 3 days. I called for coming to repair one. Ail that had completely popped off.... i said i loved my nails, yes the design was what i wanted, but the end result had me furious. Nevwr had nails fall off after day 3. They couldnt fit me in to have it repaired..for a $70 job that didnt even last.... and im a cashier, so im not being rough with my hands. I went to another salon and they did me MUCH BETTER!! DO NOT RECCOMMEND
Nice place with nice decor. Had comfy chairs to wait in when my daughter got her nails done. Big selection of polish, average price for Manhattan. She got a full set of acrylics for $45. Took about 35-40 minutes to complete and she got right in. It was kind of strange because she had the receptionist doing her nails....she was on the phone (headset) taking appointments and exchanging cash with other nail technicians right in front of my daughter almost the whole time....
Got my nails done yesterday and this is what my fingers and nails look like less than 24 hrs later..... I told the nail tech several times it was hurting and burning my nails. She took over 1 and a half hours and they are already breaking. When I tried telling her she was hurting me she said "okay?" That was her response every time I told her it hurt. At one point I told her "I'm half tempted to just ask you to stop and just paint them." She replied with "we are almost done." Then continued to do what I specifically said hurt. 7 of my fingers are cut and bleeding. Will not be coming back, very disappointed...
I absolutely love my nails. My nail tech was polite and professional. I brought my two daughters with me who are 1 and 3 years old and the whole staff was incrediblely kind and patient with them, one nail tech even gave them snacks while they were waiting for me. I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this salon to everyone. I always get intricate design acrylics and had to call around town to find a salon who could execute my nail vision. Yumi did a fabulous job and I will be going back to her again.
Ask for “Nancy” she’s the best one there so far! I’ve been here a couple of times and she’s the only one who understood the assignment! 5 stars only for her???? she also created conversation so it wasn’t awkward and she’s super sweet and nice. I’ll definitely be requesting only her to do my nails everytime!
I came in super excited for an appointment. I just got engaged and I wanted my nails to look good. The design was awful and I went home and cried. I will never recommend. They also charged me $60!! The Lady I had was very rude and not patient, the experience was horrible. Wish I could leave 0 stars. When I left, my nails hurt and were more red then when I came in. I also had an appointment at 1:30 and didn’t get seen till 2:15
I would give this place zero stars for how horrible the service was. There was no apology issued, and they still demanded the full price. It took over an hour for a pedicure with French nails. And one of the seasoned workers had to take over the completion of the pedicure. The first girl didn't scrub callouses, nor did she clean under the toenails. The seasoned worker literally told the first girl that the client had dry looking feet in front of all the customers. The girl still never apologized. Then she tried to overcharge the client. No discount or apology issued.
