When I walked in, I got an instant smellof weed in the building. Very strong scent. Could be the people waiting or the barber themselves. The floor is covered in hair and neck strips. No barber has masks during Covid. Sat down for less than 10 mins watching the barber work. The barber often stops the cut, talks to someone on the phone about going to a party and getting beers after work and saying vulgar words, leaving the customer just sitting there waiting for his haircut. I finally went to the chair, he gave me the cut I wanted and did a good job. Cheap too. So this place depends on your preference. If you don’t care about how vulgar they are and how messy. Then sure, the price CANT be beaten. If you want someone who’s more professional and more clean, then I recommend somewhere else.

Took my 10 month Old for his first haircut, first time here and everyone was amazing! Super friendly , Joel and Philip made sure my baby first cut was great!! Will be going from now on , definitely recommend this place if you have a baby!!
Met the son playing kickball at a park near my house and was impressed by how professional he was so went to get a cut there. Very clean and welcoming environment. Would recommend any guy to get a cut there. $10 cuts all the time.
Lack of communication, professionalism, cleanliness, punctuality. My haircut was cheap for a reason, LOW QUALITY. I went over a basic fade like 3 times and I ended up with a buzz cut!
Best barber in town !! Prices can’t be beat. Always does my sons birthday design, from Michael Jackson design , to a 3-D spider web. Come for the cuts stay for the shop talk.

I’ve been going to Joel at J&J for a little over 3 years. Besides his amazing skills with clippers and a straight edge, he’s also a genuine stand up guy. If you are looking for a barbershop that feels like a family, You finally found the right spot. Also if you are looking to grow a beard (I’m talking about a bearded villains beard), he’s the only person in the City of Las Cruces I trusted to cut and shape my facial hair.
$10 is all he charges, but don’t forget the tip!
