Very good food. Was able to bring dogs in, which helped with a good choice of drinks and a good price. Very good service

Nice pub to visit love all the random sofas and chairs in the bar area, if you can get by the big cosy open fire even better. Cosy and very friendly.

The rooms were clean and so comfortable and themed with great decor. We stayed in the new York room with really nice bed.

The food was soon well prepared with great service and a friendly fun weitres.

A very good experience lovely atmosphere very good landlord and landlady if I lived there this would be my local as it had the best feel to it of all the pubs in the town, mostly locals in it which for me as a solo visitor created a relaxing atmosphere.

Lovely traditional pub. Landlords were very chatty and polite. Food was good, not massive amounts, but we preferred that. Very reasonable prices and delicious deserts. Will be back!

Often driven past this pub and wondered what is was like, well wonder no more, we called in on our way down to Devon and will definitely be doing so again.

It was smaller than expected inside, but had a good friendly atmosphere, a great choice of drinks and the food was simple but delicious, my Husband really enjoyed his homemade burger and I had a wonderful hearty and tasty , stilton ploughmans.
