This is an odd but engaging site. The piece is an interesting work of abstract art, and if you're passing by or looking for a random day trip, it's worth a stop. The town has several diverting features in addition to the memorial, including some beautiful murals and public art in the shape of brooms throughout the town.

We had a nice stop in Arcola and found this little gem.
Headed to see the Hippi Memorial and found more than we bargained for. The Hippi Memorial was definitely a gem worth seeing. While there, be sure to go around the corner to visit the Raggedy Ann & Andy display as well as the very quaint town square. Awesome art work lines the whole street from wall art to art brooms that line the main road. Definitely a must see. #BubbasGarageTv
This little town is absolutely beautiful! You have this beautiful, unique Memorial and a few other things to explore!
Not worth travel just to see this wall,
If you are passing by then possibly 10 min can be spend here
This place should be on everybody's bucket list of places to see on a road trip through illinios. Its in a small town called Arcola. Also the birthplace of raggedy Anne!
Loved this memorial. Glad we took the time to read the speech. It explained the significance of the artistic elements.
Who knew? On drive to Denver from NYC just had to make a little detour. Needed to stop for lunch anyway.
