Great fields and great park. My travel ball team used to practice alot. There is no homerun fence. There is a trail around the whole park which is nice to run with. Also know that donkeys will sometimes go and feed on the grass so watch our for their poo. There are few parking spaces by field 1, but way more on the other side. Great park.
Super clean and maintained. Family friendly. Restrooms are actually clean most of the time. The playground is temporary closed. Baseball and softball field are open tennis courts are open basketball courts are open BBQ and picnic area open plenty of parking on both parking lots. My daughter has a blast at this park.
Zion Church is there Sunday's 10am to 12pm Awesome Pastor Pete a great Learning church I attend every Sunday a lot of Love in this Church Love it ????????????????????????????????
Decent Park, however, lighting is limited after dark. The track is quite nice for running, and there's a very nice tennis court. Lots of basketball courts, and the play structure for smaller kids.
Great spot to do a few soft laps for any type of exercise. There are two baseball fields located on opposite ends of the park plus a tennis ball court that's right next to the basketball courts. Dogs are welcomed but please do your duty to pick up their duty. The park supplies bags for that.
A nice little park to stop at and maybe take a few laps around there little walking path. Basketball court, tennis court, smaller childrens playground, baseball diamond, room for soccer and well maintained grass, trees, and bathrooms.....
It's a good place to take your kids when they need to burn some energy. I bring my kid's baseball trams here to practice, but make sure you come early because it's first come first serve for the two fields.
Have been coming here for years. It's a great local park although it does get full at times, understandably. However a water park would take this to a new level

Quick Facts About Highgrove Community Park

Highgrove Community Park, according to the comments provided, has several strengths that make it an appealing destination for families and athletes alike. One major strength of the park is the presence of great fields, which is highly appreciated by individuals who are involved in travel ball teams. The availability of these fields allows for regular practice sessions, contributing to the improvement of skills. Additionally, the trail that surrounds the park offers a nice running route for visitors, enabling them to engage in a variety of physical activities.
The cleanliness and maintenance of Highgrove Community Park are also highlighted in the comments. Visitors mention that the park is well-maintained, with restrooms that are clean most of the time. This is a significant advantage, as clean facilities improve the overall experience of park-goers and make it more family-friendly. Furthermore, despite the temporary closure of the playground, there are still several activities on offer, such as open baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, and BBQ and picnic areas. This variety of amenities ensures that visitors have multiple options for recreation and enjoyment within the park.
The presence of Zion Church within Highgrove Community Park is mentioned in the comments, with one individual expressing gratitude for the church and its pastor. This adds another dimension to the park, making it not only a recreational space but also a place for spiritual growth and fellowship. For those who attend Sunday services, having a church conveniently located within the park can be a significant advantage.
One weakness raised in the comments is the limited lighting after dark. Although Highgrove Community Park offers a pleasant environment for exercise, the lack of proper lighting may limit its usability during the evening hours. This can be a disadvantage for individuals who prefer to engage in activities such as running or utilizing the tennis court after sunset. Improving the lighting infrastructure could enhance the park's accessibility and extend the hours in which visitors can enjoy the facilities.
Another potential weakness for some visitors might be the occasional presence of donkeys on the grass, as mentioned in one comment. While this may not be an issue for everyone, it could be a concern for those who are sensitive to or bothered by animal waste. Signage or measures to regulate the presence of donkeys may help alleviate this concern.
The comments also reveal that parking may be a potential issue, particularly by Field 1. Although there are more parking spaces available on the other side of the park, the unequal distribution of parking spots may inconvenience visitors attending events or activities near Field 1. Providing additional parking spaces or optimizing the existing ones could help address this concern and improve the overall experience for park-goers.
In conclusion, Highgrove Community Park offers several strengths that make it an attractive destination for families and athletes. Its great fields, trail, cleanliness, and variety of amenities contribute to its appeal. However, the limited lighting after dark, occasional presence of donkeys, and potential parking issues are areas that could be improved upon to enhance the overall experience for visitors. Overall, the strengths of the park outweigh the weaknesses, making it a valuable resource for the community.
