Look you probably need a haircut… It’s been a while right? Well this is the place. This may be one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Right off the street in downtown Leadville it’s a super cool hip place and they really know how to do it high and tight! Justin‘s great. He really listened to what I wanted and made it happen. If I didn’t live so far away I’d be a regular here!
I got and alright hair cut about a year ago from someone other than Justin. Been trying to go back given friend’s recommendation for Justin. Problem is they aren’t ever actually there when their hours says. And they can’t answer phone or empty voice mail box. I’ll fix this review once I have a reason to for sure.

Probably the worst haircut I’ve had in awhile and it *really* surprised me because the establishment is super modern, artsy, friendly vibe, higher pricing etc. so I went in thinking I would leave with a great cut.
* There were clumps of uneven hair all around my head. The crown area for example had some parts with 1-2 inch long hair and the opposite side quite short. This was a theme all over the top, sides, and front of my hair.
* Rear neckline had varying lengths with some scattered longer hairs plus a 5 o’clock shadow in an area he cut into with electric buzzer but did not shave.
* Back was not faded out and came to almost a perfect square.
* Front had sides longer than middle.
My girlfriend had to clean it up for about 45 minutes following the appointment as we tried to call back to have it adjusted with no answer. Was turned away from the mirror the entire cut so couldn’t provide feedback.
A lot of time was spend chit chatting so maybe there was a big distraction? Can’t seem to figure it out but I would suggest avoiding this barber shop at all costs. I think it may be the only show in town but if traveling, definitely check out what is available in Aspen or Breck.
A day trip turned into a last-minute decision to stop in. WOW! What an amazing shop. I was blown away with the results. The barber was friendly and was very patient because I had my kids with me. He put cartoons on for them while never skipping the conversation beat. I will return and highly recommend HIGH & TIGHT. Simply an Amazing job thank you.
The owner/barber was very friendly, and he gave me one of the better cuts I've ever received. He made absolutely sure that there was nothing that I wanted to change, and I didn't at all feel rushed out.
I took a picture of my new cut at the end when I got home, just to show other future barbers (we're visiting from out of town, so just the one cut until we return to Leadville).

Very skilled barbers. Laid back and easy to talk to. The shop stays busy, which is the sign of a good barber shop. Yeah, these guys killed it.
Can't book like a normal human have to use their terrible app. Tried booking twice thru Booksy showed up both times and they cancelled both appointment without any email or text. Although I got a text and email confirming both appointments.
