Delicious Chinese food, very friendly service and a reasonable price. Shop is very clean, I see people commenting on hygiene ratings but that could be down to something little such as paperwork or a language barrier. The food is good, the shop appears clean and I will continue to use.

Used several times in the past but thankfully stopped using over a year ago. I say thankfully as I have just seen their updated hygeine rating of 1!!! This is from September 2022 so as up to date as can be.

They have obviously let things slip as I'm sure they were a 5 when we used them.

No food provider should be allowed to trade once they've been caught performing so badly.

New management required

Ordered at 5.30pm, told meal would arrive at 6.20pm, didn't arrive till 7pm. Meal was very cool - had to put in microwave. Rang up to complain and was told a takeway by nature could be cold (I have used this takeaway for at least 10 years - it has never been cold before). The receptonist said all he could do was refund my money and put the phone down. I realised I had paid the delivery chap by cash and I gave him a tip!!!. I don't think I shall ever see a refund unless it is pushed through my door (as if). But there is one thing certain I shall never order from Hardwok chinese takeaway again.

Yet another fabulous meal. Had something different. King prawn satay starter...wow

First time I've used this takeaway and it's brilliant, loads better than my local Chinese, lovely hot food and delivered quickly

Tried in vain to order over the phone, ordered over the counter and told 20 minutes, waited in the car and after 20 minutes went up to told be told not long, 40 minutes later standing out in the cold.

Got home and wrong order, could not get through on phone to let them know of their error.

Ate what came and prawn crackers had an awful garlic taste, chicken was dry and £25 for not what he paid for.

Ended up in the bin.

Will not be using again.

First time using their delivery order thru telephone. Food is great and i would recommend them. Spicy, tasty and well cooked.

Call at 5.30pm to order on a Sunday. Did take over an hour 10 Min to get it delivered which they did mentioned. Don't know the exact price for delivery charge cos they sort of round up to £30. Spent £28.40. they didn't mention on the menu how much is the delivery costs. So I presume it is depend.

Anyway I want to pay by card, was told cash only. Their menu written they accept card but maybe is for people who buy in their shop. That why mark down it.

Best Chinese I've had in a long time. Very friendly owner too. Highly recommended.

Update: 3 years later, still going here. Prefer this over anywhere else. Great staff and delicious food. Highly recommended. It's not even that close to me, but happy to collect for such good food.
