Stayed in Barnstaple for a few days and stopped by here to have a couple of drinks with some family. Perfect sun trap for the afternoon. Staff were very friendly, and I’m assuming it was the landlord who was having a nice chat with us, recommended a drink and gave us a taster sample. That’s some great customer service!
It looks like it would be fun to come to at night, they seem to have tribute band nights, and I even spotted a separate cocktail bar inside.
The atmosphere and decor was good, and the pool table was in the perfect place.
The toilets could have smelt better, but a deep clean and simple air freshener can fix that.
Thank you for providing a beautiful venue for my daughters 18th party last night.
We had all of upstairs with a bar, nice chill out area, and a lovely room for the disco and food, and our own toilets.
Excellent venue, I would completely recommend.

Little run down but busy as rugby was on, drinks fair price. Tara trail pub crawl venue so that was a bonus
Great pub, it has everything you need. Bar staff are always friendly and helpful as are the regulars. Great for live music and something alternative to the rest of town on a Friday and Saturday night.
Tracy the landlady is a brilliant host always made very welcome,drinks prices are some of the best in town,karaoke on the weekends plus a cocktail bar and always plenty of live music pop in and see for yourself you won't be disappointed.
A people's pub at the bottom of the high street. A place for live bands to play. Pool darts also can be played as well a good selection of drinks to try out. Upstairs with a cocktail bar and karaoke on those bigger nights out
Disappointing when a pub only has one real ale availability and that turns out to be off.
Great evening spent in the original olde buildings - Karoake room spacious and plenty of snug corners for privacy and romance
