Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Cleanliness
The place appeared clean.
What's on offer
Beef, feijoada (bean stew), veal, chops, hamburger,  chicken breast, fish including dourade and salmon, garlic bread, chicken nuggets for kids, kids menu, wine, whisky, bread, croissant, pastry.
Price
Meat dishes £9 to 17, fish 12.50 to around 17.  Hamburger 3.50 or 4.50, garlic bread 1.50 , kids menu 5.00, chicken nuggets for kids 4.50.
Atmosphere
There were three tables for four and three tables for two inside. Most tables full, lots of chatter, parents and kids, adults on their own or two adults together. Three tables for two outside covered over to protect from rain. Ash trays with Portuguese flag coverings.
Pictures of food on one wall, a painting with a Brazilian flag and Portuguese flag on the opposite wall together with some certificates.
Counter at the end with pastries, wines, some hooks on the wall for jackets, umbrellas. A bar with two seats to sit at by the front window.
So around 26 people can sit in total. A TV screen. Some pop music playing. A no smoking sign on the wall, fly killer machine near the kitchen. Busy at 12.30 on a Sunday
Service
I was charged more (1.50) for a coffee than was advertised outside on a price list (1.00). This is why I have given a 3 rating.
Toilets
The toilet, one toilet for men and women, was clean, had a working lock, nine toilet rolls, domestos bottle, toilet brush, tea tree soap, sink, mirror, air dryer.
Tasty Salmon, although the salmos was slightly over-cooked.
The potatoes were tasty and I could taste the condiments added onto it.
Feel the plate was lacking something, maybe some vegetables to make it a complete dish.
Staff are friendly and always making sure everything is ok.
Overall I did enjoyed to eat here at Gabriel’s unfortunately was a shame the salmon was over cooked and crunchy, as a normal salmon should be succulent.
Other than that I’m rating it a 4*. Shame the salmon would had made it into 5*.
Hope next time I come to Gabriel’s in Watford I could give it a higher review.
The Port wine was excellent with a very good brand “Os Velhotes” and was served at room temperature.
Very good food and drink !!!!
Very good price ...
Eu com 15 anos em cozinha foi o melhor bacalhau que comi na vida ,,,,merecem mais que os parabéns…..
Nice food, nice people, but almost no English spoken, so communication is difficult! However, it's worth persevering, as the coffee was delicious and the fried egg sandwich turned out to be a lovely combination of sausage, cheese, ham and egg, all toasted and so tasty! Good luck to Gabriel's Bakery!
This is very good food, amazing I loved
thanks all staff…. 5 stars
O melhor que já estive! Atendimento, sabor e um preço ótimo! Voltarei muitas vezes.
O melhor restaurante de Watford, sem dúvidas. Os proprietários estão de parabéns pelo belíssimo trabalho.

Quick Facts About Gabriel's Bakery

Gabriel's Bakery has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths mentioned is the cleanliness of the place. This is important for customers as it creates a hygienic and pleasant environment to dine in. It shows that the restaurant values cleanliness and takes pride in maintaining a clean space for their customers.
The variety of food on offer is another strength. Gabriel's Bakery offers a wide range of dishes including beef, feijoada, veal, chops, hamburger, chicken breast, fish, garlic bread, and pastries. This caters to different tastes and preferences, ensuring that there is something for everyone. The addition of a kids menu and chicken nuggets for kids shows that the restaurant is family-friendly and considers the needs of younger customers as well.
The pricing of the dishes is also mentioned in the comments. The price range for meat dishes and fish is reasonable, with prices ranging from £9 to 17 for meat dishes and £12.50 to 17 for fish dishes. The affordability of the dishes makes it accessible to a wider range of customers.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is another strength. The comments mention that the restaurant is bustling with chatter and has a mix of customers including parents with kids, adults alone, and couples. This suggests that the restaurant has a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. The presence of Portuguese flag coverings and paintings adds a touch of authenticity and cultural ambience to the dining experience. The seating capacity of around 26 people ensures that there is enough space for customers to dine comfortably.
The service at Gabriel's Bakery is generally positive, with friendly staff who make sure everything is okay. However, there is one comment about being overcharged for coffee, which suggests that there might be inconsistencies in the pricing or communication between staff and customers. This could be a potential weakness that needs to be addressed to maintain customer satisfaction.
The toilets are mentioned to be clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies. This shows that the restaurant pays attention to the cleanliness and hygiene of their facilities.
The comments also mention the taste of the food. While the salmon is praised for its taste, it is mentioned to be slightly overcooked, which could be a weakness as it affects the quality of the dish. Another comment suggests that the plate felt lacking without any vegetables. This indicates that there might be room for improvement in terms of the overall balance and presentation of the dishes.
Language barriers seem to be a weakness for Gabriel's Bakery, as one customer mentions that almost no English is spoken, making communication difficult. This could be a hindrance to attracting a wider customer base, as it limits the ability to cater to non-Portuguese speaking individuals.
In conclusion, Gabriel's Bakery has strengths in terms of cleanliness, variety of food, reasonable pricing, vibrant atmosphere, and friendly service. However, there are weaknesses such as inconsistent pricing, slight issues with food preparation, a lack of vegetables on certain dishes, and language barriers. Addressing these weaknesses could further enhance the overall dining experience at Gabriel's Bakery.
