Dieses Café ist Kult!
Von außen unscheinbar, in einer eher etwas herunter gekommenen Gegegend gelegen, ist das Café für ein echt englisches Frühstück erste Wahl. Die Einrichtung ist aus verschiedenen Möbelstücken zusammen gestellt. Die Wände sind mit einer Tapete früherer Wohnzimmer tapeziert.
An einer Fensterfront steht eine lange Bank mit Kissen für die älteren Gäste, die sich dort richtig wohl fühlen. Jüngere Mütter mit Kindern zählen auch zu den Gästen.
Das Essen ist deftig, man kann die Bohnen gegen Tomaten austauschen, was dem kontinetalen Geschmack sehr entgegen kommt. Es war recht lecker!
Am eindrucksvollsten war die junge Bedienung dort. Sie spricht sehr verständlich, hat viel Humor und ist die Seele im Café. Obwohl es der vielen Gäste wegen viel für sie zu tun gibt, bleibt sie dennoch gelassen und hat für jeden ein liebes Wort parat. Ein älterer Herr, der auf den Rollstuhl angewiesen ist, scheint Stammgast zu sein (s. Bilder zu diesem Café, der elektrische Rollstuhl steht immer vor dem Café). Mit liebevoller Hingabe hat sie ihm in das Café geholfen und ihm einen würdigen Platz ausgesucht. Diese junge Frau hat unseren ganzen Respekt verdient!
Auch quengelnde Kinder, denen mangelhafte Erziehung anzumerken war, brachten sie nicht aus der Ruhe.
Es war ein super Erlebnis und wer mal etwas anders frühstücken möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Hoher Kultfaktor! Go on!

I was given a recommendation to this place by a friend. I can say that it exceeded his praises.
Although I arrived at a busy time of day the lovely lady serving greeted me with a smile and took my order . The roast beef arrived in short order and I can honestly say it was the best tssting roasts I have had in Bournemouth. The portions were fair for the price and will return and I will bring others.
I loved this little cafe. It is a good old fashioned English cafe and offers the kind of roadside fare you would expect from that type of establishment. However, the quality and quantity of the food is great and is improved equally by the friendliest of service. What also gives credit to the cafe is the fact that it is used by the local residents..... I don't think you can get a better credit than that!

100% wonderful home style cooking, very pleasant service, and consistency. Unpretentious ambience, but it's the food and excellent value that matters isn't it! Wish I could give The Rose Cafe two 5 Stars!
