It was my first visit today. The pub was very welcoming, we had lunch lovely salmon. The engine has a really nice community pub feel.
It was lovely to finally go to the pub my great grandad Tomas Jackson ran many years ago.

Have heard good reviews about this place in the past about the quality of the ale and so forth. I can't see the reason for the fuss. I paid nearly £4 for a very indifferent pint with an after taste. Not my cup of tea at all - pint of beer I mean
Great local pub, Ted the owner always makes you feel welcome, really relaxed atmosphere. Can get busy as you would expect for such a friendly place. Really good choice of beers. Guinness is perfect.
this is a proper traditional British pub, with a friendly atmosphere. a local pub. not many of these establishments around anymore! I love it and I hope it never changes
