Amazing tasting fish and chips!
Beautiful fresh tasting fish, I had a choice of curry sauce also, fruity or spicy.
Serving staff are friendly and helpful, shop is spotless and modern.
Wrapped up hot, and well presented in a nice box, this chip shop deserves a visit ????
Called in for a bag of chips for lunch today as a treat. I noticed a pay it forward board behind the counter. What a wonderful idea!! Especially at the moment, I purchased a kids meal to add to the board. The chips were delicious!!
My first time visiting after hearing such positive reviews.
The food was nice and to a high standard. Few scraggly chips I personally don't like but all in all food was good.
My main complaint was the attitude and the customer service from the lady who was serving. As soon as I walked in a felt uneasy (2 customers before me) The way she was talking about other customers to who were clearly regulars to the chippy was uncalled for and I didn't like it.
My contact less failed and needed to insert my card that lead to her tutting and standing their holding the machine to where I said to her just leave it on the counter so you can carry on.
I have mentioned this to a family member who visits often as I was so angry and upset with the situation and they said maybe they were having a bad day...
Maybe so but so had I. I dont think I would be able to go back as I was that annoyed.
Thanks
Decided on a 'chippy tea' and certainly wasn't disappointed. Had a small, lightly battered fish, chips and peas. Delicious, freshly cooked and well presented in a cardboard box rather than polystyrene. Prices reasonable and daily offers too. Would recommend.
Just tried here for the 1st time since moving to the area, heard a fair few good reviews so couldn't wait to try... And it didn't disappoint. Had fish chips and mushy peas, very nice!! Think we found our new chippy
This is the only chippy I know where there is postit notes with free meals if your skint and hungry. What a great idea. Great chippy.
Never been here before but popped in for tea while at work, I will certainly be going again! Beautiful perfectly battered fish and nice crispy chips, not bad at all.
Well just been in to treat myself to a bit of fish and scampi. Fish has more oil on and around it than the fryer! Its not even cooked. Saturated in oil that much you cant even pick it up with a fork! Not even cooked enough to feed the dog! Scampi not crispy also soggy not been in long enough! Not swimming in oil though like the fish
