Best PlaceJuice Reviews

I love the West African sisters that work here especially Rose (Navi). They’re all very nice and respectful and helpful. They treat me as a Somali sister like their own sister and listen to how you want your hair style and try to make you beautiful. They’re all hard working mothers and Dela runs the company very professionally.
Set an appointment over the phone. Came at the allotted time and the women I met were watching a religious program on TV. I had to wait for about 25 mins for them to finish. If the time didn’t work why not schedule a different time? To make it worse the person who maintained my dreads tied them into knots instead of the crocheting it rightly. Had to go somewhere else to have it done right. Never returning
Very kind , good price and fast I would definitely recommended this place for your braid❤️❤️❤️❤️
I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment. When I arrived I was approached and greeted really nice. I was fairly surprised that they accepted walk-ins which I called prior to stopping in the salon. I went on and explained to owner of the shop my situation that I ran into and she was very understanding. I bought my own weave from a different shop, but since I purchased the wrong hair she explained to me how it would have to be crochet instead, which I declined her suggestion. I then showed pictures of what I wanted and I asked if she could do “passion twist” but bigger. As she started to make her parts, but I notice how fairly small they we’re. I explained to her that it wasn’t the size that I wanted but I appreciated her for asking if I liked it but I said “no” she then went on and said that it would look a lot better if it was medium size. As content as I was, I proceeded to accept the size. As she started to braid , another women took over and started to grip my hair really tight. I explained to her how fairly tender headed I was and that she didn’t need to braid so tight. The women nodded her head as if she comprehended what I was asking her. She continued to braid extremely tight. At this point it feels like I’m complaining but I wanted the best results and I wanted the hair stylist to comply with what I was asking her. 1/2 of my head was partly done and both of the women were discussing about the price. I was under the impression that it would at least cost $180 or $200 at the most, but since they provided their own hair $200 would have been preferable. Not to mention that I bought $80 worth of passion twist hair that I let them keep, because I couldn’t return it. The women said $230 I was super shocked how expensive it was. I should have asked about the price before hand but I wanted my hair done for my graduation. I actually talked the price down and but the owner of the shop wanted at least $210 which I gave her. After 4hrs of pain and having 2 other women braiding my hair which were heavy handed. I wasn’t too satisfied with their work. They braided 1 inch of my hair and started twisting. I got my hair done on August 3rd and my hair started to frizz on the 4th day. It has been a week and now I’m in the process of taking it down. My real hair started showing throughout my entire head by the 4th day. Me not having much knowledge about weave you would think that they would have a better method of twisting but I wish they would have tucked my hair or figured out something to prevent my real hair from poking out. I could have got my hair crochet but I knew it would have looked funny from all the pictures I seen on the internet. The stylist are very apologetic, but I do notice how they don’t have much knowledge on doing things better. The environment is comfortable but the service and their lack of understanding needs some work.
My point is, I won’t invest my money into something that I won’t gain benefits from. I couldn’t make the style last long. I followed everything, I wore a silk bonnet I made sure I moisturized it. I used anti- frizz products but nothing worked. Passion twist isn’t a good protective style to keep in your hair because your hair would start to show and it would frizz. I mean if you like getting your hair touched up....perfect but as for me I didn’t have the patience for it especially after I paid $210 for it???????? don’t pay for a style that will only last for a day. It was a lesson learned.
Dela and her team are very professional and reasonably priced. They also provide hair if needed. The have extended hours 9-9 Monday-Saturday, they take walk-ins and are open on Sunday by appointment only. #minneapolisbraidshop #minneapolisbraider #minneapolisafricanbraids #minneapolisstylist #minneapolisbraids #minneapolishairstylist
If you got to pay up front you can't do braids I have not seen a group of ladies that so bad with braid parts not clean braids so sloppy talking so loud and taking so long they are the worst close this shop
She is clean and the workers are creative with the way they do the braids.
I have come here twice for braids and once for faux locs. The staff is a bit rude. I came in for a touch up and they were upset and wanted to charge me almost $100 each time I needed a touch up. They also would claim it was my fault the hair was ruined. I take great care of my hair and have had a protective ste done many times. I also ended up with hair loss and sores on my head. Do not waste your time or money here. One HUGE spot gone on my head on the left and TWO on the front. I added photos, but don't see them up. Please reach out, I am happy to send out proof.

Quick Facts About Dela Hair Braiding

Dela Hair Braiding place has received a mix of positive and negative comments, which provide insights into their strengths and weaknesses. Let's analyze these comments to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of Dela Hair Braiding place.
One recurring strength mentioned by customers is the friendliness and respectfulness of the staff. They appreciate the West African sisters who work at the salon, particularly Rose (Navi). Customers feel welcomed and valued, as the staff treats them like their own sisters. This demonstrates good customer service and creates a positive and comfortable environment for customers.
Another strength mentioned is the professionalism of the business. Customers appreciate the way Dela runs the company professionally. This suggests that the salon is well-managed and organized, which can inspire trust and confidence in potential customers.
Price and speed are also mentioned as strengths. Customers have found the prices to be reasonable and appreciate the speed at which their hair is braided. This combination of affordability and efficiency can attract customers looking for a convenient and cost-effective hair braiding service.
Availability and flexibility are also positive aspects reflected in the comments. Customers mention that the salon accepts walk-ins and has extended hours. This flexibility allows customers to visit the salon at their convenience, which can be particularly attractive to individuals with busy schedules. Additionally, the mention of open hours on Sundays by appointment only shows the salon's willingness to accommodate customers' needs.
However, there are notable weaknesses mentioned in the comments that need to be addressed. One significant issue is the lack of punctuality. One customer mentions having to wait for 25 minutes because the staff was watching a religious program on TV. This can be seen as unprofessional and disrespectful of the customer's time. To improve in this area, the salon should prioritize customer appointments and avoid distractions during working hours.
Inconsistency in the quality of service is another weakness mentioned. One customer had a negative experience where their dreads were not properly maintained, resulting in knots. This led them to go elsewhere to have it done correctly. Inconsistency in service quality can lead to low customer satisfaction and negative word-of-mouth. To address this, the salon should ensure that all stylists are skilled and properly trained in the techniques they offer.
Communication and understanding customer preferences is an area that needs improvement as well. One customer expressed dissatisfaction with the size of the passion twists they received. The stylist did not fully understand or execute the customer's desired outcome, resulting in disappointment. Clear and effective communication with customers is essential to ensure their satisfaction. Stylists should actively listen to customers' requests and clarify any doubts before proceeding with the hairstyle.
Another weakness highlighted is the lack of knowledge and expertise in certain areas. One customer mentioned that the stylists did not have much knowledge of better techniques to prevent frizz and show natural hair when installing faux locs. This suggests that the salon may benefit from ongoing training and education for its stylists to improve their skills and keep up with industry trends and best practices.
Additionally, there were complaints about hair loss and sores on the customer's scalp after receiving services at the salon. This is a significant concern as it indicates potential issues with hygiene and the overall health and safety practices at the salon. The salon should thoroughly address and resolve these problems to ensure the well-being of their customers.
In conclusion, Dela Hair Braiding place has strengths in terms of their friendly and respectful staff, professionalism in running the business, affordability, speed, and availability. However, weaknesses lie in punctuality, inconsistency in service quality, communication and understanding of customer preferences, lack of knowledge in certain areas, and potential hygiene and safety issues. By addressing these weaknesses, Dela Hair Braiding place can improve customer satisfaction and build a strong reputation in the hair braiding industry.
