Lovely place due to fun family atmosphere. Some of barbers interested enough in customers to know the names of their children and grandchildren. There is a happy banter going back and forth between the barbers, which is fun to listen to, even if one doesn't speak the language. The barbers always do a good, quick job and the price can't be beat. If they are super busy and you are in a hurry, they may offer you the salon next door, where the price and quality are the same, even if the family feeling is not as strong. I and my two sons have been going to this place for 20 years.

I'm going to keep it simple, this place has been running for years, and still going strong for a reason. Ive been going to both locations salon/ barber and Everyone does great job especially for the price that they charge. You can read all the other negative reviews but it's better to find out yourself.

The Columbia Barbershop is a piece of sanity & peace in an otherwise chaotic world. Always friendly, courteous & gosh, do they ever help stretch the ????. You will not be disappointed. Dr K

I don’t typically write bad reviews but this particular place warrants the exception. The last few times I’ve gone there the barbers have said that they don’t know how to cut my hair and have tried shuffling me and my son off the the salon next door, even when it is full and they have chairs available. I don’t ask for anything outlandish. Just a low fade and line up that I see them perform on other customers but somehow, can’t perform for me or my son. The only difference between us is that we are African American and the other customers are not. Mike in particular is very adamant that we not be served there, so I will not patronize them and warn others of the treatment to expect once you walk into their doors.

Thank you for the great haircut! They charge far less than other places but they deserve more money! I'll always leave a nice tip to show my appreciation. Rather tip an extra $20 here than pay $20-40 for a bad haircut somewhere else. My new permanent barber.

One of the worst barbers. Do not go if decent customer service is important to you. Price is cheap but indicative of the people and the service.

I went to this barber shop late on a Saturday, about 430. I was watiing. a while. It was already 445. One barber finally becomes free, he goes outside for a minute. He comes back with a friend of his and even though he sees me waiting, he takes his friend over me.

I walked out and went next door to their other place. I had gotten a good haircut there a long time ago.

I got what I thought was a good haircut.I was wondering why the back of my neck itched.

I went the next day to visti my kid and she told me that I had a cut on the back of my neck. I touched it and sre enough there it was. It was like the kind I got years ago as a kid when every time the barber would cut me behind the ears due to the old equipment he had.

So even though more expensive I will go to Hair Cuttery or somewhere else where they KNOW what they are doing and have the proper mannes to treat customers right.
