Just had Challis's for the first time and it did not dissapoint. Husband brought me back a chippy dinner and even though it was only Pattie , Chips and Gravy it was so tasty. Pattie was perfect and the chips were covered in the right amount of Gravy. Really good value and it was still piping hot by the time he'd brought it back to East Hull. Whenever we're up Hessle Rd again I'll be using you again for sure.

Just had the worst chip shot meal I can remember. The chips were mushy and covered in oil. The fish was similar. I am only left with the taste of grease in my mouth. I would take it back but for the 40 minute turnaround.

Absolutely banging.

The food. The staff. Love the banter

Had the usual , Pattie special with curry sauce and a bread cake , great value great taste always look forward to wolfing it down

Not a bad chip shop. I used to have my regular but they've gotten worse so tried Challis. The staff are always friendly and it's a really nice atmosphere, albeit briefly popping in every so often for a chip butty. Downside is their chips do feel soggy but still tasty. Definitely a good alternative to my regular.

Great fish and chips has been on Hessle road for years was brought up on the food from here.
