Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Love this place,I go every year for the fall festival. Past 2 years things have definitely been more crowded. The cabins would be perfect for camp rentals in the back. Unfortunately there not for use that way.
Visited the grounds while unoccupied to explore and, although I never went to camp as a kid, I could imagine just how adventurous it would have been. With a playground, field and various cabin-like cottages, the grounds are separated by trails and feature an outdoor amphitheater by the lake. Quite a site to relax at!
They got my son kidnapped and then gaslit me into thinking I was wrong for being upset. They had no idea who they gave my son to. They never apologized, they never treated me nicely afterward either. They were rude about it, scoffed at me for being upset, and then they made a nasty post on a local Facebook parenting group about me. You sign your child up for various classes and groups that cost extra money and they don't tell you that they cancel the classes or don't even have them. I'm not sure if it's a scam they are running or if they really have no idea how to run a camp. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy send their kids here.
Family fun day weather was good and plenty of food and drinks. Play area for kids to play and DJ music was good but way to loud.
Went to train show it was very impressive would definitely go back and see train layouts.
Awesome I love this place. I’m with Troop 111 and this place rocks.
Great playground and grounds for young kids.
We went to use the playground there. It was quiet and lots of stuff to play with for all kids. Some of the equipment needed a little rinsing from being a bit dirty from pollen and dirt, but nothing we can't dust away.

Quick Facts About Camp Jefferson

Camp Jefferson Place, based on the comments provided, has a mix of strengths and weaknesses that should be taken into account when considering a visit or choosing to send children to the camp. It is important to note that these comments represent the opinions and experiences of different individuals and may not necessarily reflect the overall quality of the camp.
One of the strengths mentioned by multiple commenters is the beautiful grounds and surroundings. The camp offers various trails, a playground, and a field for visitors to enjoy. The outdoor amphitheater by the lake is also noted as a relaxing spot. This suggests that Camp Jefferson Place provides a picturesque and serene environment for visitors to unwind and immerse themselves in nature, whether they are attending an event or simply exploring the grounds.
Another positive aspect of Camp Jefferson Place is the availability of different events and activities. The comment about the fall festival highlights its popularity and the enjoyment it brings to attendees. Additionally, the train show is described as impressive, signaling that the camp offers diverse events that cater to a broader range of interests. This suggests that Camp Jefferson Place strives to offer engaging experiences for its visitors and provides a variety of options for entertainment.
However, there are some weaknesses that should be considered. One commenter expresses disappointment with the overcrowding at the fall festival, indicating that the popularity of events may sometimes lead to crowded conditions. This can potentially detract from the overall enjoyment and experience of visitors, especially those who prefer a more relaxed and less crowded atmosphere.
One serious concern raised by a commenter is the claim that their child was kidnapped while at the camp. They further mention that they were mistreated and received no apology or proper resolution from the camp staff. While this is just one person's experience, it is still crucial to take into consideration, particularly when it involves the safety and well-being of children. This comment raises significant doubts about the camp's ability to handle emergencies and address concerns in a satisfactory manner.
Another negative aspect mentioned is the apparent lack of transparency regarding extra classes and groups. The commenter alleges that the camp did not inform them about class cancellations or changes, leading to frustration and potential financial loss. This lack of communication raises concerns about the camp's organizational abilities and their commitment to providing accurate information and fulfilling their promises.
Another area for improvement highlighted in the comments is the loud music played during family fun day. It is noted that the music was enjoyable but excessively loud, which could potentially be uncomfortable for some visitors. This suggests that the camp should strike a balance between providing entertainment and considering the comfort of their attendees, particularly those who may have sensory sensitivities or simply prefer a quieter environment.
Lastly, one commenter praises the playground and grounds for young kids but notes that some equipment needed cleaning due to pollen and dirt. While this is a minor issue that can be easily resolved, it suggests that the camp should prioritize regular cleaning and maintenance of their facilities to ensure that visitors have a pleasant and safe experience.
In conclusion, Camp Jefferson Place has various strengths such as its beautiful grounds and variety of events and activities. However, it also has areas for improvement, including potential overcrowding at popular events, concerns related to safety and proper resolution of issues, lack of transparency regarding additional classes, excessively loud music during events, and the need for better maintenance and cleanliness of facilities. These strengths and weaknesses should be taken into account when considering a visit or sending children to the camp, and potential visitors may want to conduct further research or seek additional information before making a decision.
