Quick Facts About Cafe Marina

Cafe Marina has several strengths that are evident from the comments provided. Firstly, many customers praised the tasty British fare at a reasonable price. This suggests that the quality of the food is high and is offered at an affordable price point, making it accessible to a wide range of customers. The comment about the homemade scones being delicious and huge implies that the portion sizes are generous and satisfying. Additionally, the staff at Cafe Marina were consistently described as nice, friendly, and attentive. This indicates that the level of customer service is excellent, which can greatly enhance the overall dining experience.
The cleanliness of the establishment was frequently mentioned in the comments. The cafe was described as spotlessly clean and warm, indicating that the hygiene standards are high and that customers feel comfortable and welcomed in the environment. Clean restrooms were specifically mentioned, which further enhances the positive perception of cleanliness.
Many customers appreciated the unobtrusive music at Cafe Marina. This suggests that the background music is at an appropriate volume and not overpowering, allowing customers to have conversations without distraction. Additionally, the prompt delivery of food and the attentiveness of the staff were praised, indicating that the efficiency of service is a strength of the cafe.
The comment about the simple and effective operation of the cafe is another strength. The self-service system, where customers choose their table, make their selection from the menu, and place their own order, was described as convenient and efficient. This shows that the cafe has a streamlined process that allows customers to easily navigate their dining experience.
However, there are also some weaknesses that were highlighted in the comments. One customer mentioned feeling belittled by the staff due to being rushed to place an order shortly after being seated. This indicates that the customer service experience was negative for that individual, potentially damaging the overall impression of the cafe. The short operating hours, as indicated by the discrepancy between the advertised closing time and the actual closing time, may also be seen as a weakness as it can disappoint potential customers who arrive in the evening expecting the cafe to be open.
Additionally, one customer commented that the food was cooked to a point where it lacked flavor and was bland. This suggests that the consistency in the quality of the food may be an area that needs improvement. Another customer mentioned that the portions were small, which can be seen as a weakness if customers are expecting larger servings, especially for the prices advertised.
There were also negative comments regarding the ambiance of the cafe. The comparison of the music to a hospital waiting room and the description of the decor resembling a retirement home suggests that the atmosphere may not be inviting or aesthetically pleasing to all customers. This can impact the overall dining experience and may deter potential customers.
Lastly, one customer mentioned that the pricing of items such as a can of pop seems high, which may suggest that the pricing structure could be perceived as expensive for certain items on the menu.
In conclusion, Cafe Marina has several strengths including tasty British fare at a reasonable price, nice staff, good-sized meals, unobtrusive music, clean restrooms, and huge desserts. However, there are also weaknesses such as potential issues with consistency in food quality, small portion sizes, negative customer service experiences, discrepancies in operating hours, and potential shortcomings in ambiance and pricing. Addressing these weaknesses could further enhance the overall dining experience and attract more customers.

Tasty British fare at a very reasonable price. Nice staff, good-sized meals, unobtrusive music, clean loos, huge desserts.
Delicious HUGE homemade scones, it was far to big for me to finish it off and unfortunately had to leave it. Sorry whoever made it......and the coffee was also delicious. I'll be taking my mum for fish n chips when she next comes to visit.......and the cafe was spotlessly clean and warm.
Didnt actually get chance to eat here. Came on Sunday at 3.20. Demanded not to sit in a certain area as they were going to hoover. 1 minute after sitting down was told abruptly that the manager had text saying they could close now so food order must be taken. We left instantly. Why eat somewhere that makes you feel so belittled.
Says open till 4 on the door.
Very disappointing with the hospitality. Never been made to feel so unwelcome before.
Never again. Especially given the price you pay nowadays, which I appreciate is needed to keep business afloat, BUT great service will reward you with repeat custom and support.
Cooked to death. Bland, no flavour. On the plus side attentive staff.
My wife loved this place. It was our first visit and we will be back next time we are in Cleveleys. They have a simple and effective operation. Choose your table, make a note of the number, make your choice from the extensive and value for money menu, go to the counter and place your order. Sit back and wait for your food to arrive. Note: it is busy early Saturday afternoon so choose your table first.
Need to return urgently! Forgot to take a picture of the most delicious steak pudding ever!
Your challenge - visit, order steak pudding, take a picture, post here and then savour the flavour....
And before you ask, no I don't work for the Cafe.... just a passing customer.
Have eaten there several tines and enjoyed everything about the place. Good food, friendly staff and çlean throughout. Everything served to order and delivered promptly with a smile. Very pleasant experience. Would recommend a visit
Food is cheap enough.. fish and chips £6... but then you realise why, portions are tiny.
Can of pop £1.50 :o
The place looks like a retirement home, there is music that sounds like you are in a waiting room for a hospital.
Only reason we came in is because we could fit the pram in.... not bad food... but not very nice otherwise.
