Beautiful place to eat and food looked and tasted amazing! Will definitely be back!

Outstanding Lunch and Excellent Service
Cafe 19 is quite simply one of the greatest lunchtime cafes I've visited in this country. The menu is varied, ranging from 'usual suspects' such as Cumberland Sausage and Mashed Potato to Caesar Salad and Sweet Chili Salmon. Overall this place also has a more cosmopolitan than is usual for a British seaside cafe.
Service is also astoundingly attentive and friendly, more like something I would expect to find in The United States than in Essex. Prices are a little on the high side, but this is reflected in the quality of the dishes on offer, and in their excellent preparation and presentation.
Full marks... Outstanding...
A brilliant place for breakfast. Fast service. Recommend.
In fact, they were so busy they didn't want to take payment!! We had to ask several times for the bill - in the end we went to the cash till to pay ????
Clean and nice food. Would recommend going there, however, the waitress failed to suggest the pizza options that were available to us despite asking and as a result, we ended up paying more money for two 'half pizzas' than two 'full pizzas'. When we queried our bill, the waitress turned her nose up at us. Disappointing!
We go there regularly. All the staff are loverly. The food and service never fail to meet or exceeded expectation. Prices are reasonable, a good standard menu and always a tempting specials board.
Anyone leaving poor reviews really doesn't get what 19 is about. Ignore them.
It's a busy place and unfortunately that kills the atmosphere. But even then, despite how busy it is, the staff are quite attentive and don't rush you out the door. I've enjoyed two meals in there so far: one with my parents and one with my girlfriend on our anniversary. I'll be going again for sure.
Been going for some years now and never had a bad experience. The staff are always so friendly and effcient . The food is also consistent there are a wide range of delights to be had off the menu and also specials from the board. They make a lovely cup of coffee too
We visited Frinton-on-sea 25th july after spending day at their beach we were hungry and wanted to try their local restaurants. We came accoss Cafe 19 which seemed to be the only restaurant buzzing with people. There was one free table outside but the couple in front of us was enquiry about it and were told it was reserved. They got their table inside then, we were next. My husband went to speak to the blond girl at the bar and she said that there's no tables and that we'd have to wait at least 20 minutes. We said we'd check elsewhere. We didn't find any other restaurant that we'd fancy to eat at so on the way back we again stopped at this cafe to check if anything changed. We saw the restaurant has emptied a bit and there were several free tables available. So my husband went to speak to the same blond girl and he was told because we didn't have a reservation we'd have to wait for another 10 minutes. Despite all those free tables. We got upset and walked away as it was an absolute joke and didn't understand why we'd have to wait when they had all these free tables. If I was the owner of this place I'd fire that person who just lost me a customer...we left Frinton-on-sea very hungry and super dissatisfied.
