I have been coming here for the last 10 years ever since they were based in Church Street. They moved to the Western Road location recently and I thought I would give them a go. Never coming back.
Whilst they are still cheap, I rate them one star for false advertising.
They have it PRINTED on the window that they are open at 9am on Saturdays. I HAVE BEEN TWICE over the last 3 months to get my haircut at 9am and IT HAS NEVER been open at 9am!
On both occasions I have been told to go away by the Chinese staff who are cleaning inside and to come back at 9.30am.
Don't Waste my time if you cannot deliver! WTF, why do you tell people you open at 9am when you don't. So DISAPPOINTING!
WORST HAIRCUT EVER...
So a little back story... I haven't had a haircut in 3 years and have been wearing wigs for 3 years and just lopping it off when it gets long however decided to get a cut today! This is where it went downhill...
So I show the guy some styles I want (didn't get his name but he was baldish and in a pink shirt with tattoos on his arm). He then says no this is a style and proceeds to ask what length I want it. So I'm confusion I say just down to the neck and he continues to cut. I didn't feel reassured while he was cutting especially compared to previous experiences. He then finishes and takes off the sheet and what I got was completely wrong...
He literally cut half my hair off and was nothing that I wanted. I even asked if I could get a quick straighten to finish it off and he said no. Now I realize that he might've just been a barber but then he should of said that beforehand and I'd of gone somewhere else! To add insult to injury I dyed my hair the previous night and that's £10 down the drain (told him this before)
Never going again.
Edit: I went back in and found out the guy was the manager and told him that if he wasn't going to style it he should've told me. He then said he did it in the style of the pic I showed him. The haircut was nothing like the picture. Thankfully I got a refund though.
I went to Cuts and Co to have my hair layered and highlighted back in Summer 2017. The lady was pleasant however she did a very bad job at cutting. My hair was left uneven, brittle and dry! She let me leave the hairdressers looking like a mess! (This wasn't only my view, I had multiple comments stating how bad it was).
After this I rung back asking for them to fix it in which they did and returned my money for the cut. However It still weren't a good cut they just made it shorter.
My hair was very long before and now it is only starting to grow back. Having had this experience is has made me hesitant to have my hair cut again.
I would not recommend to go here. Save your money and go to a hairdressers with more experience!
I went here for a dry trim. It had been a while since I had a haircut so I was feeling very anxious. I was greeted by a lovely lady who asked what I would like and so I waited my turn. She cut my hair and did an amazing job on my hair. She really made me feel comfortable during the process. I will definitely be going here again!
Shop closed and no info on where they moved to. Was a great option for a cheap £7 haircut.
THANK YOU for many fab clipper haircuts - sorry to see today (25/1/22) that the shop is now shut. Let us know where you've gone to. Good luck.
Great and friendly staff! Making their effort for such low prices (1/3 of the average haircut rates in Brighton!). Make me laugh while reading those reviews from ‘disappointed’ people (likely from competitive hairdressers anyways) when this please is always packed...
Had good experiences in the past, but last time I was overcharged for a hair wash that I didn't have and didn't realise till after I left, just thought the prices had gone up. Will be more careful if I go back.
