Es ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt um in die weiten Shetlands zu starten. Die Lage ist ein Traum mit dem Ausblick auf die Braewick-Klippen. Das Café ist nett und preiswert und die Mitarbeiter/Campingplatzbesitzer sind wirklich sehr, sehr freundlich!
Zum Zeltln gibt's genug Rasenfläche, auch wenn ich das aufgrund des Windes nicht empfehlen kann (vier eher schlaflose Nächte). Stattdessen kann ich definitiv eines der Wigwams empfehlen. Diese sind mit einem Heater, Elektrizität, einem Kühlschrank und noch ein paar anderen Angenehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Damit sind diese sehr komfortabel und perfekt für das launische Wetter Shetlands gemacht.

Es ist alles da, nur nicht so perfekt wie in der BRD. Doch man muss berücksichtigen, dass wir hier fern der Zivilisation und in einer landschaftlich wunderbaren Umgebung sind. Das wiegt vieles auf. Es ist alles sehr sauber!

What a friendly place - we were made to feel so very welcome, even though they were busy getting ready for a film crew from the Shetland drama that was going to be filmed in that area over the next few days. Thank you to the young lady (Edinburgh student, musican and netball player and the gentleman working there, who really made our day.
It was shut as we went out of season, but the views are wonderful.
