We went here on Saturday tea time and the food was first class... fish, chips and spam fritter were all cooked whilst we waited and it really was delicious. I don't normally bother with reviews but Betty's chip shop is so good and well worth a visit x

Lovely food as always. Generous portions, good price, crispy chips and nice fish. Always cooked fresh. Chap who runs it is very friendly. Highly recommended. Best fish and chips in Shildon.

First time I've been here and only 2nd person in ( they open at 4pm) but my fish and chips were excellent . The fish wasn't all batter and the chips were very tasty .

Took to long to get served and didn't enjoy the food.

Recently raised prices owing to cost of supplies etc, but still competitively priced. Good quality food at a still decent price. Recommended.

Cooked fresh

Excellent quality food, I can't recommend it enough. Popped in for first time last week for 2 lots of cod, chips and mushy peas. The food was freshly prepared and tasted great. One thing that particularly stood out for me was that my food was carefully wrapped and not just squished into paper and flung into a bag like you often find nowadays. I was really impressed and will definitely be going back there again. Thank you.
