I've been to a few fish and chip shops in the area but this place is by far the best. The fish is perfectly cooked with a light crispy batter and the chips taste delicious (cooked in separate oil to the fish which is good for vegetarians). The staff are very friendly, providing good service.

Delicious fresh cod. We were a large booking, the service was fast and attentive. You won't get your traditional chip shop chips here which i was a little disappointed by. But overall good

The best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Portion sizes were perfect, food cooked freshly to order and so delicious... Highly recommend

The best fish and chips I've ever had! Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of trying the Cod & Chips and Chicken Fillet Burger with Chips today, and it was an absolute delight! The food was deliciously prepared, and I didn't have to wait long for my takeaway order to be ready. Overall, a fantastic experience that deserves a five-star rating!

We decided to go to Southend over the holidays, and you know that we have to have fish and chips as a tradition on the sea side.

Looking at Google reviews we came to Bella John's Fish and Chips and also was reasonably priced.

Food was amazing, they kind of forgot my daughter's order but was sorted quickly and because of this misunderstanding they gave a larger fish and also some mozzarella dippers on the house.

Definitely worth a visit if your down

Wasn't sure which restaurant to visit as there are 3 close together. A really nice polite young lady stood outside Bella John's in the cold with a menu in her hand. She invited us (myself, my wife and our grandson) in and we weren't disappointed. Excellent service, great food and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend!
