The coffee was good and my salad baguette was warmed. The service was friendly and welcoming, however the fish and chips was dreadful , obviously frozen and quite expensive. The fish was over cooked , very dry and inedible to be honest. The chips were not very nice and there were lots of them. If you were there for ice cream, coffee and burgers you’d be good to go but for fish and chips at 7.50 a meal you’re better off going next door to the fish and chip restaurant
Friendly staff, family run cafe. Dog friendly, but most importantly delicious fresh food. We had a BLT baguette and a cheese burger and both were freshly cooked to order and very tasty. Plenty of fillings and sauce in both burger and baguette and lovely quality bacon and burger patty. 5 stars will be coming again. We also had the Ice-cream after, which again was great!
Great service, really good waffles and a decent selection of ice cream. The coffee is good too
Delicious freshly made baguettes and a lovely cuppa, served in a dog friendly establishment, ice cream afterwards also went down a treat. Super friendly owners, great job Henry & Co. will definitely visit again.
Good atmosphere with indoor seating. Burgers and chips, with a good selection of icecream. Penny arcade next to seats so kids can be kept busy.
Went there in summer had amazing food. Very friendly family run place. The food was of very good quality and very fresh.
Staying in Pagham and decided to go to Hayling island. Stopped off at the Beach cafe as my wife needed a drink. She is also type 2 diabetic and needs to top up her sugar levels. Asked the owners here if they had any biscuits. Lady said "no sorry only dog biscuits but I will make you a cheese roll up".I said "how much "and she replied "nothing because I asked you and you didn't ask me!" What an absolutely smashing lady!! We are back in September and so will definitely drop back here. Thanks to you both made our day.
The waffles & icecream was amazing & reasonsable prices highly recommend

Beach Café on Hayling Island has both strengths and weaknesses, as highlighted by the comments provided. Overall, the café seems to have a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with good service and fresh food options. However, there are some specific areas where improvements could be made.
Starting with the strengths, the café is commended for having friendly staff who create a welcoming environment. This is an important aspect for customers, as it contributes to a positive dining experience. It is also mentioned that the café is family-run, which can often add a personal touch and create a cozy atmosphere.
Another strength of Beach Café is the quality of their coffee, which is described as good by customers. Having a good selection of hot beverages, including quality coffee, is important for a café and can attract customers who are looking for a satisfying drink.
The café is also praised for its fresh and delicious food, with specific mentions of the baguettes and burgers. It is stated that the baguettes are made to order and have plenty of fillings and sauce, while the burgers are made with high-quality ingredients. Customers appreciate the effort put into making fresh and tasty options.
In addition to the food, the café offers a decent selection of ice cream, which is enjoyed by customers. This adds to the dessert options available and can be a draw for those looking for a sweet treat. Compliments are also given to the waffles, which are described as "amazing."
The café's dog-friendly policy is also mentioned as a positive aspect. Being dog-friendly can attract customers who want to bring their pets along, and it can create a welcoming atmosphere for dog owners.

Customers were disappointed with the fish, describing it as overcooked, very dry, and inedible. Additionally, the chips were not well received, with complaints about their taste and quantity. This is a serious concern, as fish and chips are a traditional and popular dish, especially in coastal areas.
Another weakness mentioned is the relatively high price of the fish and chips. Customers felt that the meal was not worth the price they paid and suggested going to a nearby fish and chip restaurant instead.
While the café received positive feedback for its service, food, and drinks, there were some comments about specific aspects that could be improved. One customer mentioned the need for more options for diabetics, specifically biscuits. This highlights a potential area where the café could expand its menu to cater to a wider range of dietary needs.

To conclude, Beach Café on Hayling Island has several strengths, including friendly staff, fresh food options, good coffee, and a dog-friendly policy.
