This is a good old fashioned barber shop complete with good ol boys both barbers and customers. This is a place where a guy can get a great haircut and great conversation with no fru fru. It's cash only and no appointments. But waiting gives you a chance to relax and enjoy a slower pace. It's my understanding that this building has been a barber shop for about a hundred years.
Had my step son go there for a cut and they didn’t ask him or check with him during the cut off if the length was ok before cutting shorter !He’s 15 so he showed what he wanted and they failed to check in with him or his father who was there with him. all other places check with people on length as cutting ! To say the least he’s now wearing a beanie and very upset with the cut ! :( won’t go again ! :(

Love the calm pace of the shop, which has had two chairs going each time I have been there. The two barbers don’t seem to be in a hurry but are still focused on getting your hair cut efficiently. Conversation is jovial, if you even want to talk. I usually prefer to just listen to the other conversation, and they have not prodded me with questions.
After comparing my overall experience to the other shops around, it was quite obvious it made sense to come back. They have comparable cost to express style haircut shops like Great Clips or Sports Clips. On top of that, Barker’s is faster and better quality.
Location is right in the middle of downtown old Hilliard, which each decent street parking available. The inside of the shop is welcoming, exactly what I expected from an established barbershop. Several seats to sit in if you have to wait, and great pictures of old Hilliard through the years. It was refreshing to see that they didn’t try too hard to make it feel like a complete experience.
If you are looking for a straight-forward approach to getting your hair, worth giving Barker’s a try.
First time here! Their prices are on par other parlors ($20 for hair, $10 for beard). I got both done and both came out killer. Nice guys here as well, very friendly and good conversations. Cash only just so you know. I didn't realize this and had to run home quick after the cut. They probably thought i wasn't coming back hahaha. Highly recommend this place!
I've gone here several times after trying to find a new barber. They have done an exceptional job every time. Great cuts, good conversations, and 20 bucks every time. Can't beat the price for the results.
**$20 a haircut, CASH ONLY** Tiny little barber shop in Old Hilliard but they do a really nice job. My haircut is very basic and easy but I have confidence these guys could do many different styles of cuts. Barbers are always very nice and you can have good conversation with them. Definitely recommend, support small business!!

Not from around the area, but I don’t know why anybody who is even close to Hilliard wouldn’t come Barker’s Barbershop. Clean cut, excellent experience what more could a guy ask for in a barber!
