We were hesitant to try another Mexican restaurant because the night before we went there we had real bad experience terrible terrible customer service at a Mexican restaurant in South fork Colorado. We are so glad that we decided to give it a try and this place was amazing we will definitely come back we had the steak fajita for two that wasn't itself and it was outstanding. The customer service was over the top. We will definitely drive the 30 miles again to get here

Ordered the Jose burrito expecting some kind of meat in it but got more refried beans & rice wrapped in a soggy flour tortilla. The nachos had more meat on them.

Baldo's is quite literally my favorite restaurant of any type in the entire San Luis Valley. Family owned and operated, great service by friendly and obviously well treated staff as they have very little turnover...and the food. The quality is consistent, the dishes are unique and yet some of the best examples of classic Mexican and American that I've had anywhere. The portions are perfect. If you leave hungry then you didn't finish your meal. I have actually almost done the trifecta: breakfast, lunch and dinner all at Baldo's because the selection is broad enough that I always find something that I like. It is the one place that has never once disappointed me in any way, even trying one of their many specials that I've never tried before. Flavor, smiles and family...you can't go wrong at Baldo's.

Will not be going back. The prices compared to the serving size and the flavor of the food was outrageous and downright a ripoff. My friend got the Santa fe burrito and they forgot the mushrooms. My chicken in my chicken avocado salad was so bland I could have served it in a nursing home. The wait staff was on top of their game but that was the only saving grace to this place. 0/10 would not recommend to anyone.

Very busy for lunch today, but we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and fast. The food was delicious!

Baldo's is one of my favorite places in the Valley. Thank you for making me the Diablo burrito with shrimp. I simply love that meal.

Pretty delicious! All you can eat taco (Mexican) bar! Lots to choose from so if you leave hungry it’s your own fault. Waiter was keeping up on refills, didn’t even slurp the bottom of the glass. Staff was friendly & the restaurant was picked up pretty good. Definitely is a good place & it’s worth a stop to check out if you’re passing through.

One of my favorite places to visit since I used to come to Monte Vista on vacation from NY on vacation in the early 00’s until now that I live here. I love the new look and drinks and the food is always great. I can be picky and they’re always gracious and accommodating. They always treat you like family if you treat them that way. At least that’s how I always feel. But I’m a bit of a talker with a humorous personality. I would absolutely suggest visiting this place for great comfort food with fabulous drinks and an amazing family that knows how to serve you and make you feel at home!
