Large chips and a undercooked sausage in batter. Just under £5 Portions extremely small wouldn't fill up a child. Last time i ever go here after all my portion are getting worse and worse wouldn't recommend it nicer chip shop around the conor . Best off finding another local chip shop. Who does a fare portion for what you pay for feels like your just giving your money away especially when your still hungry after your food .
Very disappointed. Ordered 2 Cod and what I got was 1 Cod cut down the centre making 2 half pieces. This in any other fish and chip shop would be a mini fish and NOT £6.00 per portion which I was charged for.
If I could of left 0 stars, I would of. If you want to get served by rude, arrogant staff who bully YOU for THEIR stupidity, and then receive tiny portions (or not receive certain parts at all) for the money they ask, then go ahead. Absolutely will not be returning. The woman at the till should attend some customer service lessons, or just a lesson on how to be a decent human being
Just popped in for a quick lunch, food was cooked perfectly
Small portions, even those advertised as large. Having said that, the quality is good.
The young brat working tonight in the chip shop doesnt half like to think she is something special. All she acts like is a foul mouthed little girl. The manager was just as bad. The language off the two of them towards myself for having a disabilities so i am exempt from wearIng a mask is disgusting. And i havent even started on the food yet. The fish was cold and very greasy. The chips was supposed to be a large and cooked. They were more of a small portion hard and under cooked and the 3 sausages were cold in the middle and i had to put the gravy in a saucepan to warm up as it was freezing. Overall what a pathetic attempt of customer service and satisfaction. Can guarantee i will not be going there ever again. WORSE CHIP SHOP EVER.
Hit and miss, sometimes the food is of good quality and cooked perfectly, other times the chips are white a bit hard in middle. Potions are very small for the price
Always go to Bailey's beautiful food freshly cooked and at reasonable prices.....
Could of been a 5 star if they open more and longer

Quick Facts About Bailey's Fish Bar

Bailey's Fish Bar has received a mix of positive and negative comments that highlight both the strengths and weaknesses of the place. In terms of strengths, customers have praised the food quality when it is cooked perfectly and freshly made. This indicates that Bailey's Fish Bar has the potential to deliver good-tasting food. Additionally, some customers have mentioned that the prices are reasonable, which could be seen as a strength for those looking for affordable options.
However, there are several weaknesses that have been pointed out by customers. One recurring complaint is the small portion sizes. Multiple customers have expressed disappointment in the portions, stating that they are too small and wouldn't even fill up a child. This indicates a lack of consistency in portion sizes, which can lead to dissatisfaction among customers, especially if they feel that they are not getting enough value for their money.
Another issue raised by customers is the undercooked or greasy nature of the food. Some have mentioned undercooked sausages and greasy fish, which can be considered major weaknesses for a fish and chip shop. Food that is not properly cooked can lead to health risks and is generally unpleasant for customers. Similarly, greasy food can indicate poor frying techniques, which affects the overall quality of the dish.
The negative comments also mention rude and arrogant staff members. Customer service is crucial in any establishment, and the presence of rude or disrespectful staff can create a negative experience for customers. The comments specifically mention feeling bullied and mistreated by the staff, which is completely unacceptable. This highlights a significant weakness in the customer service aspect of Bailey's Fish Bar.
Furthermore, there are complaints about the pricing. One customer mentioned being charged £6.00 for what they perceived as a small portion of fish, which they believed should have been priced lower. This indicates a weakness in pricing transparency and customer perception of value for money. Customers should feel that they are paying a fair price for the portion they receive, and if they do not, it can result in dissatisfaction and a negative perception of the establishment.
Lastly, one comment mentions that the chips are sometimes too hard in the middle. Inconsistent cooking can be a weakness as it reflects a lack of attention to detail and quality control. Customers expect their food to be consistently cooked well, and any deviation from this expectation can result in disappointment.
In conclusion, Bailey's Fish Bar has both strengths and weaknesses. While some customers appreciate the food quality and reasonable prices, there are significant shortcomings in portion sizes, consistency in cooking, customer service, and pricing transparency. These weaknesses need to be addressed for the establishment to improve and provide a better overall experience for customers.
