Great food loads of chips. Good price

Absolutely great tasting food but very pricey for a chinese takeaway. I'd give 5 stars if it wasn't so expensive but it was the best tasting Chinese takeaway I've tried in a long time (and I've tried a few!)

The best fish and chips by far. Don't even mind travelling to it as it's a bit out of the way for me. Just a pain of late to have to pay with cash as card is more convenient but it hasn't stopped me. There's a cafh machine outside the newsagent next door.

Would not recommend due to one particular server. Didn't realise they closed at 9 and I walked in a couple minutes past. Woman on counter served me without hesitation and made no comment about them being shut. Their menu says the're open until 10pm. I'm unfamiliar with this chippy and there were three other customers in the shop with the door wide open, and absolutely no indication they had closed. I even looked on the door to ensure I didn't need to wait outside due to social distancing and nothing said they were closed or shut at 9pm. However, it quickly became apparent from the pointed conversation between the customers and the server that I was keeping the lady on the counter from going home on time. Repeated, pointed comments were passed over the course of around 7 minutes, all directed at me for coming in late. I have never been made to feel so small and outcast because I made a mistake. Why did she serve me if they were closed? I apologised to the lady once I realised (I'm autistic and it took me a few minutes to catch on why I was the subject of catty comments) but she went out of her way to make me feel uncomfortable, at one point staring at me until I felt like I had to say something to break the tension. No disrespect to the owners as they were accommodating, but I will never use nor recommend this chippy again based solely on my experience tonight with the server and other customers. Haven't experienced such a hostile and catty environment since I was in high school. The polite, and professional thing to do is to explain you're closed when a customer comes in late, not make repeated pointed comments after you've served them. A simple "sorry, we're closed" would have sufficed and is what the lady on the counter should have said.

I visted last Friday. Placed my order over the phone and was told it would be 20 minutes and it ended up being 30. As I was waiting I seen the people in the back who were cooking and preparing people's food tucking into what looked like chicken wings and didn't even wash their hands after munching on them. The servers we all eating fortune cookies and again not washing their hands. What makes matters worse was on Saturday my wife and I were really sick and I believe it was from the special chow mein. Staff please start improving hygiene standards you are making people's food.
