Ein schönes Staedli
Bonito pueblo muy antiguo, donde paraban los carruajes hacia Londres. Muchas fondas, posadas y pubs. Turístico. Hay un pequeño museo con jardín que vale la pena.
También el parque principal.
Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, ya era considerado “el campo”, lo suficientemente alejado de Londres como para refugiarse en los bombardeos.
Went to pay armed with £ coins but ticket machine wouldn’t take any coins of any denomination. Ended up ringing to pay with a card…really resented having to give all my card details over the phone and having to pay £1.65 for a £1.40 charge.
Free on Sundays (but no option to pay by cash on other days). Pretty narrow parking bays but I suppose that means you get more cars in!
Lovely place to take a lesuirely walk. Nice selection of shops.
Lovely place to stay if you like old town's and walking.
Not overly expensive. Spaces available. But since every car park ticket machine is different to every other one it took time to sort it out. Then the ticket arrived - blank. So I spent the day worried I'd come back to a fine even though I'd paid.
Amersham hospital you can park for 30 minutes free.
