The food was disgusting. I ordered for the family and we had fish, chips, sausage in batter and a fish cake. The fish was swimming in grease, the batter rock hard and the fish was dry. The sausage in batter was like biting into solidified oil. Just picking it up made the greasy ooze out of it and the fish cake was more like a rock. It was hard, slightly burnt and had a weird after taste. The chips were no better, once again overly greasy but at the same time undercooked. Won’t ever be going back.

Just had fish and chips absolutely disgusting not cooked fresh the fish was dry and the batter was hard wont be coming back really disappointed.

As usual. The food is great. Hot. And always a friendly and polite manner when I go there.

Would I go anywhere else? No. Alonzi is one of the best Fish & Chip shop's in the area.

And I have been a customer for well over 30 years.

My Favoutite Fish and Chip shop since John's closed on Maindee High Street. Always polite service and they are very efficient so there's never a long wait. Always well staffed so busy times never an issue. The Fish and Chips are excellent especially in a cardboard box and they have a huge range of products on offer so there's something for everyone.
