Great friendly place with some wonderful food options - my wife had the florentine, which was amazing, we shared a brownie, and I had the avocado flatbread with chickpeas and sundries tomatoes - kept me going all day! Our new favourite brunch place in Perth.
Delicious vegan food. I opted for the bacon waffles and a mandarin jigger to drink, with a slice of the chocolate and orange easter cake for dessert. All of it was very good but the cake was especially impressive. They are very dog friendly and were happy for us to bring our pooch in. The atmosphere was relaxed and low key. I would come here again, for sure.
Prerfect food, lovely atmosphere and nice staff members. We really enjoyed out lunch there. Prices are budget friendly and you will get a lot. 100% recommend! Look forward to eating there again.
We went here for breakfast and got the snazzy porridge and toasted tofu with a vegan hollandaise sauce on toast, beetroot latte and dark power smoothie.
It was all delicious and arrived very quickly to our table. We were stuffed so unfortunately we couldn’t fit in one of the yummy cakes.
I wish we lived closer so we could try everything on the menu.
Bagels were delicious. I wish they had more kinds so I could try them all but the two we got were really good
Lovely cafe, beautiful decor. The menu looked great, especially the large range of not coffee lattes!
I only had soup, which was very delicious, full-flavoured and nourishing. I did think the price of soup and bread was a bit high compared to the rest of the menu, but I was happy with what I got for the price!
The food was so fresh and delicious. My family loved this place. We had the Mango salad, Soup of the day, waffle and a smoothie and can highly recommend them all. A must try if you are vegan or if want something nutritious and yummy. The cafe was also very clean and nicely decorated.
Nice little cafe. Might be best vegan offering in town. Staff gave a little back, in high spirits... So was fun. Coffee was just okay for our ultimately high standards. We came as the indie coffee guide recommended roastery told us their beans are used here... But wasn't overly special.
Cake was nice, but a little dry, so needed the vegan butter cream, which had a generous helping ontop, so plenty for every mouthful.

While there are several strengths mentioned in the comments, there are also a few weaknesses that can be identified. One customer mentions that they wished there were more options for bagels, indicating a limited selection. Furthermore, another customer suggests that the coffee is only average, which may not meet the high standards of coffee enthusiasts. This comment is especially notable considering the café was recommended by a roastery known for its beans, suggesting that the coffee at 269 Vegan Baking Section might not do justice to the quality of the beans used.
Another slight drawback mentioned by one customer is the price of soup and bread, which they felt was a bit high compared to the rest of the menu. Although they were satisfied with what they received for the price paid, this might indicate that the pricing could be more consistent across the entire menu.
Lastly, one customer found the cake to be a little dry and needed the vegan buttercream topping to enhance the flavor. While they appreciated the generous amount of buttercream provided, the dryness of the cake is worth noting as a potential weakness.
In conclusion, 269 Vegan Baking Section has several strengths including its friendly atmosphere, delicious and fresh food, budget-friendly prices, and dog-friendly policy. However, there are a few areas that could be improved upon such as expanding the variety of bagels, ensuring consistent and exceptional coffee quality, adjusting the pricing to maintain consistency across the menu, and addressing any issues with dryness in certain desserts.
