One of the best barbers in Edinburgh. I have been visiting Veen Barbers for a few years now and they never disappoint. With friendly, attentive staff, spot on customer service, and a selection of modern grooming services to keep you looking sharp and stylish; it's the attention to detail and atmosphere that makes for an even more enjoyable barbering experience. I can't recommend them enough. You're in good hands here.
Good customer service but not the best haircut - asked for a fade with a number 1 and got a fade with a number 2 and the sides of my head sticking out like a mushroom, the blending at the back was awful. I spoke with the barber via google and they were helpful and said if I go back they will fix it. When I returned the next day to have it fixed the guy had no idea who I was despite the barber confirming I can come in. The second cut didn’t fix the issue - I’ve had to go back to my trusted Rag and Bone - spent £50 in haircuts in the weeks build up to Christmas, I’d go back and ask for a refund but that’s just awkward. Too many barbers seem to offer fades because it is what people want despite not always having full staff who are experienced enough and trained on how to do a fade properly.
Always an enjoyable place to get your haircut as well as having the the best quality haircuts I’ve seen in Edinburgh. Staff are always up for a chat + a laugh and offer refreshments to those who might have to wait. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Since I came to the UK, it’s been difficult finding a barber that would give me just the haircut I wanted. I would usually leave the shop displeased and would have to make do with the cut. I’ve gone from one shop to another, to no avail.
All that ended when I discovered the Veen Barbers. Honestly, if I could I would give them a 100 star rating. Very polite staff. They offer you refreshment while you wait to have your hair cut. There’s even a card they give you so that if you barb your hair there a number of times, you get a free haircut. Hard to believe that a barbershop would offer such phenomenal service.
Would highly recommend this for Africans who may be worried about barbers understanding how to handle their hair texture. Veen barbers are excellent enough to handle African hair texture and give you exactly what you want, or even better.
My hope is that the service continues to be this great.
