Avoid. Everything tasted as if it had been reheated from the day before. Chewiest chips I've ever had. Batter on the fish was snappy and chewy too. Looks clean inside, staff welcoming and friendly, not sure if it was a one off but I do not recommend this place at all. Used to be amazing.

Chips are ok and service was quick. Staff member seemed annoyed for some reason. The Peas could do with some salt as they had little taste.

They only accept cash aswell no card which can be annoying at times as most people use card these days.

The meals we got were really nice and tasted like an old English chippy, if yournin the area call and fancy chippy call here

UPDATED : 2nd visit . Apon ordering my food, the owner noticed i was watching the till, looking at the menu prices and I admit I was struggling financially that day . I then apologised to the owner, stating I only had 12 pounds in my account and needed to watch the price.

To my astonishment, the owner then turned and asked who i was ordering for (myself partner and 5 children) . And said to me " stop looking at the prices and order what you need " wow I was so happy and appreciated and ordered the minimalist I could think of as I didn't want to seem cheeky or just take his generosity, then order the full menu so to speak

After chating away, he also then offered the young children some drinks.

If you're in the area, please call here, I'm sure you won't be disappointed ???? . I'm going to make this my new local

Best fish and chips I've had in an age.

Yea was fairly nice fish was tasty if slightly watery curry sauce was nice chips abit scrapy tbh.

I have been here before and it was very good. Thought I would try it again as they now open on a Sunday. I asked for steak and kidney pudding ,chips and peas. I noticed the young women select a pie for me as opposed to my actual order. Foolishly, I assumed that they had ran out of puddings? However, she did not mention it.

When I arrived home and tried my order it was a steak and onion pie! Not good hence 3 stars.

Lovely chippy, fish cooked fresh, nice chips. Two sorts of curry sauce English and Chinese, both are really good. Me and my husband really enjoyed it. Good service and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
