Went for the "Mega Breakfast" an absolutely huge all day english breakfast served with an optional side of toast if you are feeling brave. The service was friendly and helpful we had no issues with the food other than a difficulty walking on a full stomach when leaving.
Great food. Lovely staff. Lisa's lasagne is highly recommended. Don't go anywhere else
I think this is Muffins now, food ok drinks good.
Slow service on this occasion as they had new staff.
Popped in whilst we were in Weymouth for half term with the kids.
Wanted relaxed, an everyday cafe with great food and value for money. You certainly get that here.
It is small but worth a visit, simple, friendly, great food and great value.
We will be back xx
Found this wonderful cafe quite late into our holiday and then visited 3 days in a row.
Wonderful friendly staff small menu but cooked Nd served fresh to order will be back when return after lockdown.
Best breakfast in Weymouth, Everything super value for money. Cheaper than Macdonald's and far better quality food. Great staff
Great food, great prices and great service - The only downfall is allowing dogs in this small cafe. I enjoyed my meal but was put off by the smell of 2 dogs laying on the floor and people struggling to get in their seat without treading on the dogs. I will visit again if there are no dogs in this cafe at the time.
Beautiful home made freshly cooked food. Great value for money. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Quick Facts About The Welcome Cafe

The Welcome Cafe appears to have several strengths that make it a popular choice among customers. Firstly, many customers appreciate the size and quality of the portions. One customer specifically mentioned the "Mega Breakfast," which is described as a huge all-day English breakfast. This suggests that the cafe provides generous servings of food, which can be appealing to those looking for a filling meal. Additionally, the fact that they offer an optional side of toast for those feeling brave indicates that the cafe is willing to cater to different preferences and dietary needs.
Another strength mentioned by multiple customers is the friendly and helpful service provided by the staff. In a customer service-oriented industry, this can greatly enhance the overall dining experience. A friendly and welcoming staff contributes to a positive atmosphere and makes customers feel valued and comfortable.
Several customers also praised the specific dishes served at The Welcome Cafe. One person highly recommended Lisa's lasagne, suggesting that it is a standout item on the menu. Positive comments like this can attract more customers who are looking for specific food recommendations. Having signature or standout dishes can differentiate the cafe from its competitors and create a loyal customer base.
Additionally, the overall value for money is repeatedly praised by customers. Many visitors mention that the prices are great and reasonable, especially when compared to fast-food chains like McDonald's. This suggests that The Welcome Cafe offers quality food at affordable prices, which can be a major selling point for budget-conscious customers.
The cafe's simplicity and relaxed atmosphere are also frequently mentioned as positive aspects. Customers appreciate the casual and everyday vibe, which allows them to feel comfortable while dining. This can be especially appealing for families, as one customer mentioned visiting with kids during half term. The small size of the cafe is also seen as a positive by some customers, as it creates a cozy and intimate environment.
Despite these strengths, there are also some weaknesses that customers have pointed out. One customer mentioned slow service due to new staff, indicating that there may be inconsistencies in the level of service provided. Slow service can negatively impact the overall experience, as customers may become impatient or frustrated. However, it is worth noting that this comment specifically mentioned that the slow service was due to the cafe having new staff, suggesting that it may not be a regular issue.
Another weakness mentioned by a customer is allowing dogs in the cafe. While some people may not mind or even appreciate this, others may find it off-putting and unsanitary. The customer specifically mentioned the smell of dogs and the inconvenience of navigating around them. This could potentially alienate customers who are not comfortable around animals or have allergies.
In conclusion, The Welcome Cafe has several strengths that contribute to its popularity among customers, including generous portions, friendly service, standout dishes, and affordable prices. However, there are also some weaknesses, such as occasional slow service and the presence of dogs, which may be seen as a drawback by some customers. Overall, it seems that The Welcome Cafe offers a positive dining experience for those seeking a relaxed and value-for-money option in Weymouth.
