Fancied somewhere different to eat, we had tried here before but were pre-warned by the staff straight away they had a booking for 45people due in 15minutes so went elsewhere, but this evening there were no large party bookings, Jess took our order promptly and 2 large milkshakes arrived within 5minutes, food only took 15-20minutes and was decent portion and tasted great, daughter had Mac n Cheese hotdog, which she loved, I had burger which was well cooked and lots of flavour. Portions are large enough that desserts weren't required. Thank-You for a great experience
Bright & vibrant establishment with friendly staff with funky music to amuse yourself and party with. Family friendly. Very reasonable priced menu and portion sizes. Food was out of this world and filling. Would reccomend this to people who fancy somewhere different to dine from their usual places. Thank you for your service!
Horrendous service. Arrived around 5pm, not many diners inside and more than enough staff to cope with with orders. We put our order in to a young waitress who took our order on a small notepad.
35 minutes later we were still waiting for our drinks. I then found out that order wasnt processed when we arrived! We left and didn't eat. Apology provided, however no voucher/gesture of good will given to us.
We will not be going here, considering they 'specialise' in burgers from the photos it does not look appealing.
Happy with our meals for the price paid for them. Yes higher quality food is available elsewhere but you'd have to pay significantly more for it. The portions were generous, accurate and cooked well. We tried burgers, hot dogs and pizza and there were no complaints from anyone. I'd check me again and would recommend.
Burgers surprisingly small for the price, and of average quality. Like, they're 'fine' but not of a quality you'd expect from a place that apparently specialises in burgers.
Soft drinks are clearly out of cans behind the counter, poured into glasses. Not chilled. No ice.
Clear priority placed over online orders instead of dine-ins: 40min wait for food despite there being only three families in at the time.
Gets an extra star because the staff were at least friendly and courteous.
We had a lovely meal on tuesday evening. We were welcomed and served by Jess. She was very helpful with any questions we had and took our orders, the food was cooked quickly and arrived looking great. My southern fried chicken burger was lovely, I paid extra for the sweet potato fries, they were very tasty too! My friend had one of the milkshakes, they said it was really good. They also do a discount for students which is always appreciated! I'm sure we will be back again!
Coming in here as a one off as we were going to see the new Jurassic World world film in 4D IMAX.
We’re told it’s a 45 minute wait on food to begin with which we accepted as we had to wait for 3 hours until the film started and we were waiting for the fourth person to arrive.
Food was good considering it looks like they had 1 maybe 2 chefs in the kitchen, on the floor had 1 waitress and the manager. Seemed to be handled well considering they had a lot of take out on the side as well with customers and delivery drivers coming in.
Would consider going in again but wouldn’t be a first choice unfortunately. Half the alcohol I wanted was off, ended up order something I thought was a beer but was cider. The girl did say that she knew nothing about alcohol but that should be in training to understand what you are selling.
Would try again but not in a rush unfortunately
Won a like and share comp. Waitied over 30 minutes for our order to be taken. They weren't that busy. Lots of staff doing nothing. Burgers came. Meat tough. Crispy bacon was normal fatty bacon. Was told that is how its served. Anyway was a bingo night atmosphere was good. 2 stars as was a competition win and our drinks were free for crazy waiting time.

Quick Facts About The Confessional Telford

The Confessional Telford Place is a restaurant with both strengths and weaknesses, as evidenced by the comments. In terms of strengths, one customer mentioned that the staff were friendly and prompt in taking their order. They also noted that the milkshakes arrived within 5 minutes and the food was served in 15-20 minutes, indicating efficiency in the service. Another customer praised the establishment for its vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. They mentioned that the food was "out of this world" and the portions were filling. This positive review suggests that The Confessional Telford Place offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience.
Additionally, a customer expressed satisfaction with their meals in terms of both quality and price. While acknowledging that higher quality food may be available elsewhere, they appreciated the generous portions and well-cooked dishes. This suggests that The Confessional Telford Place provides good value for money and can cater to a variety of tastes with their burger, hot dog, and pizza options.
Furthermore, the presence of a discount for students was mentioned positively by a customer, indicating that the restaurant offers special deals and considers the needs of different customer groups.
However, there are also weaknesses highlighted in the comments. One customer had a negative experience with the service, mentioning that their order was not processed for 35 minutes and they ultimately left without eating. They expressed disappointment at the lack of compensation or gesture of goodwill from the staff. Another customer criticized the size and quality of the burgers, stating that they were surprisingly small for the price and of average quality. This suggests that The Confessional Telford Place may need to improve the consistency and value of their burger offerings.
In addition, there were complaints about the presentation of the soft drinks, with customers noting that they were poured from cans behind the counter and not chilled. This indicates a lack of attention to detail and could potentially affect the overall dining experience.
Another weakness was the prioritization of online orders over dine-in customers, resulting in a 40-minute wait for food despite there being only three families in the restaurant at the time. This suggests a lack of balance and efficiency in managing orders.
Furthermore, there were comments about the lack of knowledge and training regarding the drinks menu. A customer mentioned that they received the wrong drink as the waitress did not have sufficient knowledge about the alcohol options. This indicates a potential area for improvement in terms of staff training and product knowledge.
Overall, The Confessional Telford Place has strengths in terms of prompt service, reasonable prices, good portions, and a vibrant atmosphere. However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed, including issues with service, burger quality and size, drink presentation, and prioritization of orders. By addressing these weaknesses, the restaurant can enhance the overall dining experience and attract more satisfied customers.
