So i sat down. Looked around, initially the place looks clean, until you look around properly. Cob webs near tables and on top of booth ornaments along with dust. Dirty seats in places. Waitress came upto us asking what table number we were to serve food, perhaps she should know the layout considering she works there. Waiting on food but will be an edit update for that. At time of writing ive been waiting 10 minutes for the food to arrive. Was not greeted on arrival. Quite a sham to be honest especially when theyre on a park dean site kinda lets the brand down. Better to go butlins in my opinion its cleaner and theres a hella lot more to do.
Edit: food arrived aftrr about 20 mins but is really greasy and found that all serces have no clue what theyre doing. Had missing items. Wont be coming here again. Its really let the park dean experience down.
First time visitors and after reading the reviews we were wary, however we couldn’t really fault the experience. Friendly staff, decent food and a nice environment. Only loses one star as the prices are a little on the high side but I guess that’s expected given its location. Would definitely visit again
I wouldn't even rate it a one star. Its only cause I had to.
Not enough high chairs so my child toneat her dinner in the pushchair. Was told food was a half hours wait ( 1:45 minutes later) still sat waiting.
Terrible place. Will NOT be returning
A bit hit and miss, my wife had the new peri-peri chicken flatbread which wasn't as good as it should have been for the price. The burger I had was nice but again a little pricey for what it was. Overall ok but over priced which I guess is to be expected due to the location.
Fabulous meal. Sixth time staying at Southview but never eaten at the boathouse until tonight for my sisters birthday. 5 adult meals, one child's meal, sides, drinks and starters and couldn't fault any of it. Service was super quick from bar staff and waiters, staff were also really friendly and couldn't be anymore helpful. Prices were also really reasonable for size of the meals. Ordered using the Parkdean Resort app which made it even easier to see what was available and what wasn't. 5/5
Arrived here Monday so thought we would try this place, if you don't want anything fancy then basic food is OK, expect to wait ages if you order anything, tried the app thinking it would be quicker to order than standing in a long queue. Tried to reorder drinks through the app, football was on so didn't mind waiting, but an hour later still no drinks, wife went to the bar and asked, only to be told don't know how long they will be so she asked for a refund and we left, not been back since
Been here many a time and definitely gone down hill. The man that greeted us was lovely and the young man who brought our food to the table was great too. But that’s where the greatness stops. The menu was limited. Food was overpriced. Food arrived very quickly- too fast for it to have been freshly cooked. When the food arrived, it was cold. The kitchen staff were very unprofessional making silly noises for all to hear, messing around like teenage boys and generally being very annoying. Sadly, we won’t be back.
When we walked in there were dirty tables everywhere and not very busy so i couldn't understand why they hadn't been cleaned. We chose to sit outside at the back and ordered a fish finger sandwich and curly fries which was actually quite nice and a good size for the money but when I went to he bar we were told card only when I asked if it's always card only the barman told me no but he couldn't be bothered counting people's change from the arcade to pay for their food. We chose to have breakfast here on the last morning and was left disappointed again as the kids beans on toast was just dry beans on warm bread which I had to send back to be replaced and when my breakfast arrived it was all Luke warm and had been pre cooked and left in a warmer like a buffet breakfast which isn't what I expected for £8.95.
