The nicest starbucks I have ever been to both atmosphere and people. Staff are friendly and make nice conversation, the coffee is good and the seating area is always clean. The only downside is that the toilets are often messy and aren't the nicest I would say they are definitely in need of refurbishment. Other than that this is my favrouite stabucks in the whole of the UK
Really nice place for coffee and chill, definitely one of the best looking Starbucks stores I've been to. Staff are friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a nice cold brown sugar expresso!
I hate writing negatively about places, but as much as I sympathise with staff, and want to support them, my experiences here have been very poor, so…
Stunningly badly organised. Incredibly slow service. Minutes went by with no-one making a coffee as I waited. No apparent system, no hustle, and generally there seems to be indifference to the constantly long queues, both for ordering and collecting. Different stories told within minutes of each other on consecutive days about how the toilets are out of order or closed for cleaning, depending on which staff member was explaining the rope preventing access (except for those that didn't ask!). Some staff interaction has bordered on being rude.
On the plus side, some staff members have been very friendly. The interior is pretty interesting to look at (look up!). And the drinks have been good, in the end!
Ordered from Coney street in York to be delivered and got two practically empty cups. Spent over £15 on two empty cups as the content of the iced coffee was all over my work surface!! Called Starbucks in York and spoke to Nicola but she told us she couldn’t help us at all. So disappointed with both Starbucks and Just Eat and will definitely not be ordering from Starbucks again
I paid £ 4 for a burnt, bitter coffee. The tables were all full of rubbish and no one was in charge of cleaning. The toilets were very dirty and it was impossible to use them. Disappointing.
The building itself is an antique view, I don’t know why I didn’t appreciate it so much before. My visit was lifted with a smile by Emily, she’s an awesome staff, thank you ????
Beautiful exterior and interior ceiling, but this was diminished by how many dirty tables and old cups were littered all over the place. Coffee itself was fine and service was friendly.
A wonderful historic and well maintained building in a lovely setting with excellent views in the heart of Yorks unique centre the coffee and food experience was very relaxed and refreshing. However the service was very slow and I had to ask twice for the front benches to be tidied and sanitized before I could sit down and enjoy my food and drink.
