Amazing food and drink. Really nice atmosphere inside and friendly, helpful staff. Huge selection of cakes. Everything was reasonably priced. Looking forward to coming back, would highly recommend.

Blimey! Speechless, I have no words. Except excellent, tasty, filling, generous, value, fresh, huge sandwich, excellent service, lovely coffee, looking forward to trying the takeaway scotch egg and sausage roll. This place was recommended to me and I’m very glad it was, I’d recommend that you visit too.

Fantastic local deli and cafe. Great coffee and cake and even better breakfasts. Friendly staff and always welcoming.

A lovely little cafe/farm shop with a decent selection of baked goods and treats. seating looks limited on first glance but there is a second seating area out the back. My only criticism is that on our recent visit the only cakes available were a dozen varieties of brownies and chocolate cracknel. Not that they were bad at all, just a bit limited in selection and chocolate isn't really my thing with cakes. Drinks were lovely and the toast is amazing (it feels weird saying that about toast!) - big thick generous slices of brown bread smothered in real butter and with a side of a really fruit packed strawberry jam. Delicious! Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Just be warned that the parking out the front is always a bit of an issue, and don't be tempted to park in the pub car park or you'll get fined!

Very much an almost there place for me. The staff are excellent, the food is to a good standard and offers very good value for money. It loses two stars due to a few issues our table had. Food arrived at far too great a gap between people. The person's who's birthday it was got their food dead last when everyone else had finished, even though the gap between us ordering food was barely a couple of mins. In fairness they did offer her a free drink by way of apology. There's was also food that was bought through that wasn't for our table, and a dirty glass on the table. Empty plates were also left far too long before being collected. I do feel like they were simply overwhelmed by the size of the party which is what led to these negative experiences.

Staff are really helpful and friendly. Food tasted amazing! I had a bacon and egg toasted granary sandwich with beans on the side. It was served with a little side salad. Lots of bacon and two eggs! Perfect!! Thank you

I've ridden past Smithtons Food Market frequently. When passing by I've thought, "There's that butchers. Looks fancy. I should pop in one day." That day came. I popped in and my jaw dropped. What surprised me was how much is packed in to this well thought out tour-d-force artisanal eatery:

1. Baked Goods - Breads, Cakes, Pastries, Sandwiches.

2. Deli - Cooked Meats, Cheeses, Antipasto.

3. Convenience Foods - Fruit, Veg, Milk, Eggs & Artisan goods.

This is not a convenience store. Stock selection is thoughtful: local, independent, suiting various dietary requirements.

The biggest surprise? Go and take a look out back. There is a comfortable, contemporary cafe complimented by a more extensive covered outdoor seating area.

The staff described the breakfast doorstop ciabatta to me... I'm heading back to sample it and more!

Today
