Good food nice staff! Mostly ordered takeaway at midnight! But this time dining in with my girl! Love their chicken and rice so much!
It's the best Kebab I've ever had. Great food and service. We travel from fareham to either eat in or collect our order. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Most people originally from Portsmouth will have heard of this restaurant, even if they haven't eaten here.
It's a very popular take away, often taking many a call to get through on the phone! It's popularity is not to be sniffed at, the food is delicious.
I try and sit in whenever I get the time, I love that extra freshness and the service is good too. Each time we eat here, the food is unreal; meat is tasty and tender, rice is amazing and the ambience of the open grill really adds to the experience.
I definitely recommend trying to stop by if you can, but be warned it's very busy and you may need to wait to a table. It's worth it.
The food seemed a bit expensive for a small pitta bread, some iceberg lettuce and not much meat. My two sons wanted to try a lamb donnar each. They weren’t that impressed. For the price I paid we could have got a lovely Chinese takeaway that would of filled us up.
Phoned up and ordered at 17:08, it’s not 19:09 and food still hasn’t turned up. I phoned up but I couldn’t get through because it’s always busy. So my partner goes to the shop to figure out what’s going on and she gets told that the driver is on the way to our home. She’s come back and the driver still hasn’t turned up. So I phoned up again to try and get through. I finally managed to get through and this rude lady tells me if I don’t want the food I can turn the driver away. Absolutely horrendous service. I would never in a million years ever order from here. Please stay away!!!!!
I've been eating from this place for as long as I've been living in Portsmouth. Not the biggest kebab fan but have always treated Shirins as the exception because the food is that great and always reliable whenever I've ordered. It’s very authentic and combining the doner kebab with their chilli sauce...you got yourself a winner there. On top of that, the fries are extremely well made and has the perfect crunchiness to it. Easily one of Shirins unique selling point. The service I often find is pretty quick too. Usually just a 10 minute wait. Sometimes less. However, the only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that I haven't ordered anything else from the menu other than Doner Kebab, fries and rice. Though I'm sure everything else on the menu is great too and well prepared. Finally, I do believe the prices are justified given the quality of the food and quantity.

Do not order from this place. Very rude staff, 2 hour wait for delivery, unable to get through to their phone number and stone cold food when eventually arrived which was not edible. I paid for food that went in the bin. If you want to waist your money order from here however we will never order from this place again.
Food has changed.
Rice and chicken is sooo salty its over powering.
Chicken was over cooked and hard the chicken.has definitely changed from what is use to be which was well cooked chicken with a charred coating.
Maybe frozen chicken? Gone down hill anyway!
