She will suddenly text you to come 10 minutes early in the morning of your reserved date, then ask for confirmation. If you do not show up 10 minutes earlier than the initial reserved date you made, she might just take other customer and and cancel your reservation, saying you are late.
This is why you see some reviews saying she just canceld their appointment. This is just rude.
Cancelled appointment unilaterally. The least they could do is notify me, so I would not have to waste my taxi fare.
This is my favorite hair salon in town. I have been always happy with the short hair cut that I got there.
The Korean lady is very professional! I recommend all Asian students coming here. I was recommended by a friend too. The experience has been good with Sue. I hope the woman haircut of 40 dollars could be cheaper, but there is not much difference in other nearby places.
I have been coming to this place for about 1.5 years, always a good experience. The only issue is that due to the pandemic one of the two stylists has left - my impression is that she went back to Korea for good and may not come back. So there is only one stylist here for quite some time, who has been working extra hard to keep up with customer demands, and it is difficult for me to make an appointment because they are always fully booked. If the pandemic has taught me anything, it is that the good things you have in life, don't take them for granted. I am happy Red Hair is still here today, and I will be missing it when either me or RH leaves Champaign for good.
I like this place. Sue is very good. But I’m not satisfied with the big price difference between men’s and woman’s haircuts. Men’s haircut is $28 but women haircut is $40 which is 40% higher (I’m comparing the most basic haircuts, no other services)! Not all women have longer hair than men, and not all women haircut needs more work. This is pink tax!
I came to get my hair done here for the first time today and I found Sue to be super friendly and skilled at what she did. I have really thick hair that can be difficult to manage but she did a great job styling and hair cutting it. Would very highly recommend!! Things I found very satisfactory about Red Hair:

The hairstylist that cut my hair was so sweet, and we were talking the whole time! I'm usually very shy, but she was so easy to talk to during the whole haircut. It was also so quick, too! I went from very long to very short, and she managed to get the cut done in under 30 minutes. I was very pleased with my cut, I definitely recommend!
