Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Place is an absolute dump. The guy in the front desk was rude and disrespectful. I asked to cancel my membership and he was glad to do so. They do not treat you like humans they treat you like garbage. Terrible staff. Stay away from this gym at all costs! Read the rest of the reviews and don’t listen to the positive reviews that their own people write, they are fake. A true dump. Sad for the area. Avoid at all costs!
Nothing against the gym, they have great staff, awesome clean up crew that always be sure the job gets done. Only down side is the hours, I don’t blame nobody there as a whole I just believe it should be open later for people who maybe can’t come in early all the time or if someone does wanna go early in the mornin, but besides that never the less my experience for the past year has been fantastic, great people to talk to, nobody has an issue if you have a bench before them or not,so my only complaint is the lack of hours, appreciate your time if anyone has read this and thank you in advance.
I have never seen a more useless staff at a gym than this one (front desk). The guy wearing sunglasses all the time thinks he works at a radio station, harassing us on the speaker every 10-15min. The other one (the short one) does absolutely nothing, always on his phone when sitting on the front desk but he usually goes downstairs to workout ! Can you believe that ? He leaves the front desk and goes to workout during his work hours. I couldn't believe my eyes. I have never seen such a degree of unprofessionalism in my life. I don't understand how people like this still got a job.
While I have been a member of this club for over a decade, the upkeep of the gym is increasingly getting worse. Weights are scattered on the floor in the weight room. Although there are trash cans throughout the gym, members leave their wipes on the floor -- it's absurd. I even found a piece of hardened chewing gum on one of the elliptical machines.
Broken rubber tiles are an accident waiting to happen -- oh it actually did happen when I tripped and fell over them and injured my wrist and knee in an attempt break my fall and not do further damage (i.e. fall on a free weight or bench in addition to tripping over the tile). Not a single person who was there at the time who heard and saw me fall even bothered to ask if I was okay. The redemption here was when I went to the front desk to mention what just happened and the person behind the desk came downstairs to rearrange the tiles so the broken ones would be hidden behind the weight rack and offered me an ice pack.
Rules of the gym need to be enforced or there should at least be a presence on the training floor (I gather that's not in the budget). When the gym closes for the evening, at the very least the staff should make sure that things should be put in their proper places so when members who work out in the morning attend they do not have to deal with the "obstacle course" of scattered weights and other equipment on floor. I'm tempted to give one star but the gym serves a purpose, is in a convenient location and I can manage to get a semi-decent workout.
Not the most up to date equipment, but it still gets the job down. The 3 stars is because more often than not, they close at 8 and not 10. Which sucks because I get out of work later on and I enjoy the gym after work. Sucks they don’t stay open until 10 like they are scheduled for.
While the gym seemed clean overall, the tiny sauna in the men's locker room is probably the dirtiest I've ever seen. Moldy smell, dirty footprints allover the floor and the woodwork, sticky benches... a paradise for germs. The steam room in Scarsdale (when open) is pretty bad but this sauna definitely topped that.
Lack of cleanliness in wet areas, steam rooms and saunas seems to be a widespread issue in NYSC gyms these days. I probably don't have to explain why this should be a major concern for the NYSC management.
Also disappointing (but less important) is the fact that, in most NYSC gyms, more often than not half the TV's don't work. Larchmont is no exception.
I'm not picky and I don't need it fancy, but we all pay for the club's services and amenities and should be able to use them.
The WORST MANAGEMENT! I cancelled two years ago over the phone and wasn't charged so I thought everything was fine until recently I started getting charged again out of no where without my consent.
I called this location to speak to a member representative and was told to go online and request a written cancellation, which I never heard back from. So, I decided to call and speak to the manager who apparently never works and never calls your back. I called almost everyday for two weeks and was told the manager was either with a client or not in. I am so disgusted with the lack of communication and audacity to start charging me after two years of not being billed.
I am actually quite upset at this gym! I have the passport and have been trying out all the NYSCs in the area & so far this one is the worst so far ! I had really high hopes because of the other NYSCs I have seen. The place itself feels bland and MUSTY. I feel as if there’s no room to do anything. The basement is absolutely traumatizing. It’s so crowded with equipment and people & there’s nowhere to stand during sets. It’s also incredibly hot and gross down there. Feels like there is absolutely no circulation. The cycling room looks nice though. The equipment is rough and old. The entire gym also smells like a mens locker room after a football game. There’s too much equipment in such a small area it’s horrible. If one person were to get sick in here, everyone would that’s how gross the air is. This place needs to reevaluate the location of its equipment and get some air in the basement. The only reason it got two stars is because of the studio upstairs.
