One of the go to Indian Stores in El Cerrito...one can get almost all of the ingredients(be it spices,oil,flour etc) needed in daily cooking..although there are limited options of green veggies,but they are of very good quality. The store is well kept.
I absolutely love this place! They have a fantastic selection of anything you could ever need to make even the most complex dishes. Plus, the owner is a former restaurant owner and he loves helping you find new dishes to cook and even offers tips. They do shopping the way it should be done.
This store is comparatively bigger than other Nepali/Indian stores in this area. You'll probably find everything you're looking for , if not, ask the owner. He would bring it for you.
This is out go to store. The owner and other staff are very friendly. Other day, we ordered big order of samosas for an event and we were supposed to pick it up at 11 AM but for some reason, I could not get there on time. I ended up picking up at 2 PM instead. The owner was kinda upset becasue he had to bring in someone early make those samosas. He said he already sold my order because I was not there by 1130 AM however he made another fresh batch for us and it was hot when I picked them up. Sorry and thank you so much. See you again!
Amazing collection of Indian ingredients, many of which I have never heard of. Staff was friendly and helpful. Spices in bulk are far less expensive than supermarkets or Penzeys. Some Indian cookware too.
I ordered a too good to go bag from there and they give me a lot of stuff but it was mostly the same stuff I would get in American grocery store. I was hoping for more unique or interesting things I'd never had before
Many options, friendly place. Fennel-seed cookies, flat colanders, Holi powders, many pickles and chutneys, frozen-food deals, gulab jamun, bulk teas and herbs, tiffin, mustard seed oil and on and on. So much fun just to check it out.
Every kind of Indian groceries like spices, rice, pulses, veggies, ready to eat frozen items, desserts available here. Owner is extremely helpful.
Good selection of Indian foods. Very friendly staff. They also carry a small selection of Cadbury chocolate which is hard to find except in England. Bought some Cadbury chocolate eclairs which I haven't had in 30 years !
