I went in and ordered a tinned roe and chips. The two girls hadn't a clue what I was asking for and when they did finally realise what it was they laughed at me as tho I was the one to be in the wrong. Never felt so shamed in an establishment in all my life.

By far and away the best fish and chip shop....ANYWHERE...however service in the last few months has gone down the pan, and they never keep an eye on how many people are queueing and invariably hear...JUST A MINUTE FOR CHIPS, when you finally get served...which means another 6 minutes on top of the 15 minutes queueing you just did

Have used this chippy for many years, one of very few in the area who know how to fry fish properly - without soggy batter.
