We walked past this place on our first weekend in Bridlington and it was packed so we decided to give it a try midweek when it was quieter. The first table we stopped at, there was food all over the floor and the table hadn’t been cleaned so we found another. The second had bench seats and they were filthy, I’m still not sure why we didn’t walk out there and then, we really should have looking at my own picture I took of the seat as I write this review.
My wife had the vegetarian panini and I had the Mexican burger. The taste of our food really was excellent, I’m not kidding it was fantastic. Afterwards we had deserts which matched the mains for taste, spot on.
The staff are all young minimum wage workers who are pretty lazy. We asked for some condiments and we were pointed to where we could go and get our own. We watched the staff ignoring dirty tables and looking like they didn’t want to be there.
It’s a shame as this place could and should be 5 stars if it was just down to the quality of our meals. Five stars for the food, 2 stars for cleanliness and 3 stars for the staff.
Gormless staff. They didn't know whether they sold doggy ice cream, even though there was a sticker on the ice cream fridge advertising it. Apparently though they don't. Not that they were going to find out. Then they happily sold me a cup of tea before telling me they had no sugar. Shambles. This was the big one on the front. Also, why advertise the app for it not to be active?
Disappointed with Haddock dry .but had to wate 30 min for pudding. As they had lost ticket .when it came ,girl said they lost ticket .but No sorry .so not happy ????.
Just no. Staff need retraining in the kitchen handling the food with their bare hands literally dishing the food out onto the plates with their bare hands.touching their faces ect then retouch the food..no gloves or tongs. I feel sorry for those who are about to eat it... Disgusting. ????we sat and watch staff then they can out of kitchen to cuddle their children.then without washing their hands went back to handling food..
There are several branches of Jerome's. The one on the sea front gets mega busy but this one in the Promenades is a gem.
Friendly staff, gorgeous cakes and of course the famous ice creams.
Really enjoy the range of ice creams... and for a special treat the sundaes! Coffee is really nice and available in 3 sizes (illustrated with mugs so you can make informed choice. Staff were lovely, chatty and efficient.
Food was amazing but had already finished food before drinks arrived..
Excellent spotlessly clean cafe. Staff cheerful and welcoming. Coffee was hot and cakes were fresh and delicious!! Thank you. X
