Very nice clean establishment. Everyone was friendly and they got my hair really straight. It rainer the day I got my hair done. They were nice enough to wrap it for me and give me a plastic cap. For some reason they only take cash on Friday's and Saturday's, just be prepared for that. I'll definately be back.
Fui a preguntar por un arreglo a mi cabello y lo primero que me dijeron fue. No puedo. No. no ago ese tipo de trabajo. Pues para mi es una tontería tener un salón de bellesa y decir no puedo o no lo ago. Si no me lo iba aser gratis. así que no la recomendaría a nadie.
This is my second time there, it’s a nice clean looking place and the price is good! First time I was there I got a wash, a deep conditioning and flat iron. The wash was pretty good because she really had my scalp clean, it was a little hard, but I liked the fact that it was flake free. The blow dry and press was wayyyy too much heat for my thin hair! They blow dry your hair bone straight, and then flat iron it on high heat with several passes. My hair was damaged because of the excessive heat. So after two months I decided to go back because of the price and just get my hair blow dried to cut down on the heat and so my hair won’t look so thin. I even showed a picture of how I wanted it to look and emphasized on I don’t want it bone straight. After sitting in the chair for some time I looked in the mirror and saw that my hair was bone straight????????, I could smell my hair burning. I just wanted to leave, so after she finished my head I was ready to go. Only for her to part my hair and start blow drying all over again. I told her it’s good, I didn’t want my hair straight but I think she didn’t understand because I kept saying it over and over again. Even after my hair was bone straight she insisted that I flat iron it. They need to learn how to take care of hair, not burn it to death to look good for one day. I am very upset about this whole situation. It could be a really good salon if they educate themselves on the care of African American hair. If you care about heat damage don’t go there. If not, it would be a good place for you.
For all the natural girls do not go there .I went there last week and the lady gave me a deep conditioner I think she put a perm in it they put to much heat on your hair a few days later I wash my hair and it just falling out and it’s thin!!! They are to lazy to work with thick hair this is unacceptable I would not be coming back
Called and spoke to Jenny. Explained I have a short pixie cut and needed the sides cut. She told me no problem and just to come. Drove over 30 minutes to get there, the she took one look at my coils and said no, she doesn't have the tools to cut it :/. What a waste of time and gas
Great results but this will be my last time returning. My 4c hair is always a challenge so I try to only get it straightened once a year for a trim. This year I have a significant amount of heat damage that I haven't experienced in the past. I speak Spanish but choose not to when I go here. The employees assumed I didn't, and casually spoke about how thick my hair was and how it was hard work. I didn't take this as much of an insult but I wish it was a conversation with me instead of other coworkers. Everyone there speaks enough English to communicate friendly expressions with customers. Although I'm always satisfied with results upon leaving, I wanted the owner to try her hand at my 4c texture but she seems to only do wavy textured hair or hair of family or friends. Every visit, she never touches kinky hair, only mildly curly. I guess it's a professional preference. Minus the heat damage and lingering burnt smell, which is always a possibility with every silk presses, the results are great and the place is clean.
Since 2009 I've been going to jenny’s along with my family my daughter who is now 22-23 in march been going since 9years old thanks Jenny for wonderful service
Some of the workers were really nice, but Jenny who is the owner of the salon- was very rude, and rough- she burned my scalp when straightening my hair. Jenny didn’t style my hair as well as the the beauticians. If you visit this place try the other ladies - One lady did my hair and it was beautiful, she was professional, and she trimmed my ends very neatly.
My overall review is if you visit the salon try the lady who sits on the end close to the shampoo station.
