Hawaiian BBQ is one of my go-to places for lunch. The portion sizes are decent and I love that they offer brown rice as an option. Their food is not too salty and the service is fast and friendly. For the price, I think you really can't beat it. I highly recommend this place for a satisfying and delicious meal.
The staff was attentive, it was easy to order, and the food came out quickly. Thankfully, the food was also good! I got the Katsu curry and it was on point! The macaroni salad and rice were great too! I will definitely be back. I did give 4 stars for atmosphere as they use a chunk of the dining room as storage, and the cabinets around looked dirty and worn.
Bbq chicken was super tender, fried fish was crispy and perfectly fried. Garden salad was awesome to go with the Seafood combo
Ordered through door dash twice now, never had any issues and they always follow the instructions I give on the dishes!
- Short ribs are my go to. Thicker cut but never chewy.
- Double up on the mac for me.
- spam musubi: The rice needs a little more sauce but satisfies the craving when I have it.
Only reason I'm dinging 1 star is the veggies they include are always overcooked and super bland, they're just steamed.
Excellent value for Hawaiian fast food. The portions are large. Even the mini meal I ordered (curry chicken katsu) was more than enough at $6.79 - a good alternative to American fast food.
Totally not authentic Hawaiian. Absolutely no spirit of aloha. I asked if they had two of my favorite Hawaiian dishes and they looked at me sideways and rudely and ignorantly said "we only sell Hawaiian food here" yeah buddy except that's what I'm asking for. Rude. Disrespectful to me and my people's culture. Not a single ounce of aloha spirit. And no one would even say it back to me. Smh. Look just do me a favor and close shop and open up something you can be more authentic about and not disrespect me and my culture to my face. Shameful appropriation.
Compre un platillo y regrese para pedir adereso y me dijeron que mi platillo no incluía el aderezo así que le dije que no importaba que se los podia pagar pero las personas que atendían parecían de mal humor al final si me dieron el pequeño side de aderezo pero de mal modo.

Expected more on many levels. Mediocre environment, less than par staff, bbq mix plate was under seasoned, not the most welcoming restaurant. No music— we could hear each other eating and we were the only guests in the restaurant. I guess we had L&L expectations, but willing to try locals. Disappointment overall. We should’ve just turned around and left when we sensed the vibe and nearly disgruntled employee facial expressions taking our orders. Won’t be stopping there ever again.
