My stylist Mama,does an excellent job. This is my third time visiting this salon and each time I am happy with my results. I people watch so I see that all the braiders do a good job. I would recommend.
My girlfriend just went to this shop on Tuesday. They were very unprofessional and lazy. She stated that they were arguing while doing her hair for numerous hours. They also made her separate the hair for them. I don’t recommend this shop at all especially during the week days.
Poor wacked service,especially Whinny!!She lied and said she can do crochet braids and can't!!!They refuse to give the owner's name,but it's ok!!I called my attorney!!Never will go back to the one in Northriverside Mall!!Garbage!!!!The last picture is what she said she could do that style!!She told me my hair looks like that style ,just longer !!I will never go back there again!!!????????
I just came from getting my daughter lemonade braids at ford city location they did a great job on my babies hair it was quick and neat! The ladies were cool too they started right on it, didnt have attitudes we were laughing having conversations. Dont have to worry about waiting on young girls to have openings and waiting for 50 hours for them to start I can just walk in????
If you can deal with babies all over...and beauticians talking about you in a foreign language...(and yes.. they're talking about you) then you'll be ok. Braids were symmetrical and ok for the price.
Very unprofessional, was told that I'm required to help separate the hair for my braids. When I told her that I couldn't because I was using to time to finish some paperwork for my job, she told me she wasn't doing my hair. So, not only was I suppose to pay $350 for my hair, but I am required to help her with my hair. After asking her for her name she stated that I don't need her name just to know that she was the manager. Also, when I stated that I was going to write a review about this she told me that since I was going to write a review that no one was going to do my hair. This is the lady in the picture. 9/16/2021

I have been here with my daughter more than a few times and while their braiding is ok their service leaves a lot
to be desired. They always open earlier than they tell you so that they can take customers they know before anyone else get there so you end up having to wait longer to get your hair done.
My last visit was HORRIBLE.
We arrived at 7:15am to get our hair braided there were 3 ppl waiting when we got there as braiders started to arrive they took customers that were b4 me n my daughter by this time its nearly 9am. The Manager arrives and immediately starts to take a customer who arrive more than an hour after we did when I asked why she took someone else and not me or my daughter she said bc the lady had asked for her specifically and sometimes that happens bc they know them. I stated to her that you tell customer's its first come first serve yet thats not how you operate and if you take appointments for one customer you need to take appointments for all customers.
The Manager and employees LACK any customer service at all and do not value ALL customers time, they have their picks and chooses as to who they treat fairly.
The space is no longer kept clean and does not feel welcoming at all. The business in my opinion has become very well known throughout the area and they have also expanded to a 2nd location and with that it has stared to decrease in the concern for customers leaving pleased and wanting to come back.
I hope others have a better experience than I did but after the last visit I will not return. Braids are not cheap and I'd rather spend my money with people who respect my time, treat me fairly and actually stick to the policies they set in place.
This place is dirty, and filthy. I noticed that they dont clean their combs. They use the same filthy comb (with noticeable dandruff and debris) without cleaning it. Notice, that there are no containers of sterilization solutions on the stations or nearby. I complained when a supposely stylist attempted to use a filthy comb in my hair. It was so noticeably dirty. She went to the reception desk and sprayed the combs, and wiped them. (After instructing her, on how to use the comb on my hair, it was discovered that she wasn't an stylist, and only trying to fill-in, until a stylist arrived. Another long story, I digress. My complaint set the tone of my hair experience for this day. They began talking loudly in French. I was moved to three different stations, whereas two was dirty, with crumbs of food and unrecognizable dirt and smudges. Their children are present, and only become irritable when made to sit for long period of times. No toys are presnt or attention provided to the children, unless for an occasional diaper change, meal or snack. They speak loudly in French amongst themselves but you can tell by their body language, stares and tones of voices, exchanges that something is wrong. You must pay first, ($220). I complained; so my style ending up being a disaster. They laughed and giggled in my face, when I complained. There's no point of complaining, afterwards because you're outnumbered. Intimidation. I noticed that something was up because when she finished, the room got quiet and all eyes were on me. I took the Michelle Obama approach, as they giggled amongst themselves. I complained to the woman in charged. I showed her pictures of me with the style before and after. She stated that she saw nothing wrong. I've seen some beautiful hair styles, come out of this "joint". I haven't been here in over three years. The staff that I'm familiar, was not there, They can do good work. (two, far back stations. near the mall's windows). Why do we accept and allow filthy and dirty places like this in our communities.
