I used to have my hair cut with one stylist for 20+ years. After letting it grow out to shoulder length, I decided a short cut was better for me. On a whim I decided to try one of the several Great Clips locations near me. I liked the fact that I could get my hair cut dry as it's naturally curly and I could continue on with my day without running home to straighten it with my styler/dryer. I also like the fact that a cut is at least 50 percent less expensive than I had been paying (with a 20 to 30 percent tip included).
Good place to get a hair cut. Coupons make the price worth it in my opinion. Friendly staff. Love how they keep track of previous haircuts so you won’t have to tell them every visit.
Speaking of visit, one of my visits getting a haircut, I had to finish the job at home when I found an odd spot. Nothing major, but something to take note.
Decent place overall.
Took my daughter in to get her hair flat ironed at 530pm. Her hair is just above shoulder length. Two customers waiting and two stylists. I was turned away because “we don’t have time to do a flat iron” mind you they close at 9pm. So almost 4 hours and we are turned away because you don’t have time. How? So I go to Great Clips on veterans. Two stylists and they are packed. Guess what? At 6pm they are working their tails off and fit my daughter in. NEVER will I attend Chatham Road Great Clips, poor poor customer service. I’m sure this review will Just be swept under the rug. But for ppl to be warned before going in that almost 4 hrs is not enough to flat iron hair- with TWO customers waiting!
One week before I went to Great Clips I decided it was time for a "real" hair cut. Because of the virus, it had been a couple of month since my last cut so I wanted it somewhat stylish and was willing to pay for a deluxe experience. So I dropped big bucks at a frou-frou, fern-filled establishment.
I learned my lesson. A few days later I went to Great Clips to FIX what happened at the "grand salon". So don't be like me and just assume you need to spend more. Some of your savings could go to a generous TIP!
They base their notes on what they did rather than what the final product is. This means I go in with 4 inch long hair and come out with 2 inch long hair but the next time I come in with 3 and I go out with 1. Pretty frustrating. The workers there also aren't very nice
I came in this morning, Sunday 3/31/18 at 10 am to get my 4 year old sons hair cut. Right away I was "greeted" very rudely by a middle aged woman with brown shoulder length curls. First time I've brought my son here for a haircut. She puts him in the chair, and puts this weird velcro thing in his hair, the Great Clips he went to before has never done that before, and I tried mentioning maybe she should explain what that thing is to him, and when he went to touch the velcro in his hair, he moved it out of place and the woman sighed heavily and with an obviously annoyed tone she said "well I have to do that again"...it was an over all unpleasant experience. His hair isnt even cut resembling anything like the picture I showed her. She even got ticked off when I mentioned there was a lock of longer hair that hadn't been cut yet, and she snapped "well I'm not even done yet!" But in reality she had just told me she was about to do the finishing touch with the razor...she was incredibly snarky the entire time, and she barely spent 5 minutes on my sons hair, just frankly didnt care. On top of that, there was a customer who checked in remotely, and his name was "Captain Awesome", and she outwardly scoffed and said "Sorry dude, but you're NOT that awesome." The customer came in, and it was a little boy and his dad!!! What a rude woman, she was just completely negative the entire time, I dont have time for people who are ungrateful. Wish I hadn't have left her a tip.
The Great Clips in Jacksonville was great, they even did a shaved line on his part, took both scissors and clippers to his ears, this lady did none of that. This haircut looks raggedy. She didnt care what her craftsmanship looked like in the end. She even talked me out of the fade I wanted him to have, obviously it was too much work.
I brought my young daughters in for haircuts. The staff was very kind and patient and took extra time to help them select haircuts they would like. It's next door to Baskin Robbins for an after haircut treat too!
Upon my arrival I was acknowledged impressively and waited 4 minutes. Great Clips pays attention to even the small things! Amazing haircut as usual, thanks!!!????
