Definitely very unprofessional. I gave a star for accepting me late in the afternoon, however I wish I would have just waited. The stylist were arguing in front of customers and the most important part I’m not satisfied with my hair. The quality of hair & braiding technique is unacceptable. If I was in smbdy basement with basement pricing maybe, in a shop with shop pricing not at all. Very disappointing, I shldve just went back to mama’s African braiding. Better atmosphere, hair quality and professionalism

This is my second time going to this shop. My sister went back in the first week of August 2020 and then my daughter and I went the same week because my sister loved her hair and her experience. All of the ladies are talented. They know some clients are picky so they will match you with a braider that specializes in the style requested. Know what you want. And have the money to pay for what you want. Right now it’s over 200 for waist length. I paid a little less for my daughter I’m guessing because she was a child. If you don’t mind them doing their own thing like everyone does in “their hair salon” you will have a great experience. It’s up to you when you arrive at the shop. I’ve been early and kinda late and still got out of there fast. Some days there are more ladies there and they will work two to one head if they can! Sometimes you’re there for more than 4 hours but I love that the ladies who take their time, really want your hair to look good. I’m gonna drop a pic because I also want you all to see what the standard size of knotless was for my stylist. You can call for pricing but you are better off coming with enough money and showing the ladies what you want. Bring a picture if you want something specific. I hope everyone who reads this does go to Genesis and has a great experience, I have TWICE!!!

The customer service was rude, I felt like I was being attacked. The guy who answers the phone is a bully and very unprofessional. One braider grimmed me the whole time I was there. I was told one price over the phone but when I got there of course price was different they even threatened to charge $30 more if I didn't use their hair. I was desperate on a Sunday and every other shop was booked or closed. My braider yanked my hair continously when I asked her not to and told her she was hurting me she told me to hold still. Only positive was the braids came out nice and they did not take 6 hours. The place was not clean and they expect you to pay upfront after they put in 2 braids! Will never ever go there again!

I went 2 weeks ago to get 5 braids put back in. Told them I'll be back for whole perimeter. Went in and they were so rude. And they tried to charge me 150 for a touch up. The entire braiding didn't cost that much.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. I waited TWO AND 1/2 HOURS before they said they couldnt do my hair. Before that, they told me to blow dry my OWN hair. All they had to say to me after telling them they could have told me right after they felt my hair instead of right as its supposed to be my turn, was sorry. Dont ever come here.

These ppl are so unprofessional, rud, dustyliars with no pride in what they do! Sorry but they shouldn't be welcomed in our neighborhood being that they can't respect us as a whole! They tell you one price then charge you more , get your money up front and Don't give you what you ask for! Report these type of business and get them out of our neighborhoods! Period Point Blank Get Out Of Our Neighborhoods!!!

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the braider I had was very nice and fast.. otherwise I would give 1 star... I called their shop on 7 mile and Van Dyke and the woman said $190 for long tribal braids then sent me here... When I got here they said $220 after I waited 2 hours to get in the chair!!! Highly irritated!!!
