We had a fantastic time at Funworks. Every thing was very clean and my little girl loved it so much that I had to pay for another hour to play. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the toilets was clean and tidy. We will definitely be back again.
Staff were not very friendly or accommodating.
Play area was too dark, asked for lights to be turned on and was told they already were.
Upstairs was also very dark.
We ended up leaving after a short time as kids weren't comfortable playing in the dark!
The play place itself is good for the kids but the place if flippen freezing you literally need to sit with your coat on ... service is slow I stood over 10 minutes waiting on someone just to come serve me at the food counter.... as they were out the back having a yarn ... the food n drink is over priced to....
My grandson always enjoys going here staff our always helpful and very friendly highly recommended.
A fantastic afternoon enjoyed by all ages - highly recommended- staff very attentive and all plans went according to timelines - great value for money!!
Plenty of fun obstacles for children to play and climb, along with a big 4 person race slide, the lighting in places can be very dark a gloomy, the decor and carpets could do with a little revamp but the cafe area has plenty on offer with a good variety of snacks and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the coffee latte I purchased was outstanding flavour and taste, overall I had a pleasant experience while visiting Funworks unfortunately it does give off a rundown outdated vibe in areas along with the dull dark and gloomy feeling.
Kids love the place as there is so much for them to do. Bit disappointing they removed the upstairs bounceys and they have boarded up the entrance to the climbing frame from upstairs.
Staff need proper training in communication. Stood waiting for a Caramel macchiato for it not to be relayed to the person making the coffees, nor to specify I required Oat milk (dairy intolerance). Once it finally did get made (because the girl making the coffees had to look at my order on the computer) it was made with regular semi skimmed milk instead of the Oat milk I requested. Also 4 people at the one time trying to make slushes. Think needs to be better run, one person per thing I.e taking payments, making drinks, making food, front of house etc, instead everyone trying to do the same thing at the same time and near tripping over eachother!
To say I'm devastated and annoyed is an understatement. I had a phone call last night at 5.16pm to confirm my booking. It was my sons 1st ever birthday party and was a complete let down.
We arrived at 10.45am and the shutters were down. I had not been contacted to say that there was a problem. So I explained to all the kids and the parents we would wait until 12pm because that's when it might open on a Sunday and someone might have forgotten.
I'm also disappointed that I had to be the first to make contact with Funworks because no one had rang or messaged me from the business. I eventually received a message at 12.18pm to apologise for the inconvenience... Almost an hour and a half after the agreed time. I had to completely rearrange my child's 1st birthday last minute, after this being booked for 6 weeks.
I understand that there can be unforseen circumstances, but there is not just 1 person that works in the building. I will be contacting the company at the start of the Week to arrange my full refund, compensation and the cost cover of a 2nd venue that I had to pay out of my own pocket. Needless to say, I will not be back in the future for parties, toddler mornings OR just general soft play.
I highly advise ANYONE to book somewhere more reliable, concidering the fact this business closes its doors early due to the good weather..
Not impressed in the slightest!
