I went to coloed my hair medium dark blonde and they colored it black. Also burned my scalp and damaged my hair. They said the color was going to get lighter with washes but never happened. They didn’t offer to fix it and didn’t return my money. They are nasty and rude
I just had to wash my daughters hair at the salon.
I came to this salon to treat my baby to getting her hair done. They did
Not Wash her hair correctly. it had dirty spots all over her hair. Then I said something about how dirty she left her hair and then she started talking down on my child. Saying her hair was to nappy and she didn't want to do it. So I recorded the whole experience.
I have very thick, natural hair. I’ve been going here for at least 5 years to get a blowout. They always ask if I want a deep condition, which is an additional cost, to which I usually reply yes. On this particular visit I was on a budget and declined the deep conditioning treatment. The lady who shampoos pretended to use conditioner and proceeded to comb through my hair. I got my hair blown out, straightened, paid, and left. Once home, I realized the horrible bald patches in my head. She didn’t use any conditioner at all and instead ripped out my hair. The woman who straightened my hair had to have seen the damage but said nothing except you owe me thirty dollars. My head and scalp hurt for days. I went back the next day to speak with the manager but the associates claimed she was not there and pretended not to speak English. I was extremely upset that I had been scalped so I just decided to leave before an incident occurred.
Only Dominican hair shop I got too .. always having me looking like Pocahontas when I leave… shop is clean , fast and professional.
Thanks ladies…
The best hands down I ride 45 minutes just to get my blowout and trim ❤️
This place is a joke I have been trying to get an appointment they close at 4 instead of 5:45 change the time smh
My first visit was great but on my last visit , the person to wash my hair was very rough and didn’t know how to detangle natural hair properly . Once I got home, my aunt informed me that my hair was short on one side in the back. It was literally a huge chunk missing & I recently had to cut most of my hair off .. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN , if you’re smart you will do the same!!!!
Loved this place at one point. Visited this shop for the first time in about two years on a natural no heat no chemical journey. The lady asked if I wanted a deep conditioner, I declined. She washed (4x) , cut and styled my hair into a bob. The next day as I’m in the shower I begin to smell a strong smell like a perm, it was so strong other people noticed afterwards. A week after I washed my hair and it began to come out in clumps. At that point I really could notice my hair was processed with some type chemicals, my curl pattern was messed up and my thick hair was no longer thick anymore but thin and stringy. Two weeks later which is today I washed my hair again, the smell changed, but the curl pattern still hasn’t come back and my hair is still shedding really bad to a noticeable point. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM PLEASE .. They are clearly processing people’s hair without permission. I had really thick and full hair now it’s very thin and shedding because of them!!! NO LIE.

Quick Facts About El Pueblo Dominican Hair Salon

El Pueblo Dominican Hair Salon has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, it is evident that some customers appreciate the results they achieve at the salon. One customer mentions that they always leave the salon looking like Pocahontas and that the shop is clean, fast, and professional. Another customer is willing to travel 45 minutes just to get their blowout and trim at this salon. These comments suggest that there are hairstylists at El Pueblo Dominican Hair Salon who are skilled in creating desired looks and providing excellent service.
Additionally, at least one customer had a positive first visit to the salon. They state that their experience was great, indicating that the salon has the potential to deliver satisfactory services.
Moving on to the weaknesses, several customers complain about how their hair was treated at the salon. One customer states that their hair was colored incorrectly, leaving it black instead of the desired medium dark blonde. They also mention that the salon burned their scalp and damaged their hair. This shows a lack of attention to detail and proper technique when it comes to hair coloring. Furthermore, the salon did not offer a solution to fix the mistake and did not provide a refund, which indicates poor customer service.
Another customer shares a negative experience regarding their daughter's hair wash. They claim that the hair was left dirty, and when they complained about it, the hairstylist started speaking rudely about their child. The fact that the customer had to record the experience suggests that the salon may have a hostile or confrontational atmosphere.
There are also complaints about the salon's treatment of natural hair. One customer with thick, natural hair mentions that their hair was damaged when the hairstylist failed to use conditioner and ripped out their hair. The customer also highlights the lack of concern from the hairstylist and the associates' unhelpfulness when they went back to speak with the manager. Another customer mentions that the hairstylist didn't know how to detangle natural hair properly, resulting in a chunk of hair being cut off. These experiences indicate a lack of expertise and care when it comes to dealing with natural hair.
Lastly, one customer claims that the salon used chemicals on their hair without permission, resulting in hair loss, changes in curl pattern, and thinning hair. This not only suggests a lack of respect for customer preferences but also raises concerns about the salon's commitment to hair health and safety.
In conclusion, El Pueblo Dominican Hair Salon has strengths in terms of delivering desired results and providing fast and professional service. However, the salon's weaknesses are evident in their poor handling of hair coloring, lack of attention to natural hair, negative customer interactions, and potential use of chemicals without consent. These weaknesses highlight the need for improvement in various aspects of the salon's operations, including training, customer service, and adherence to professional standards.
